In case anybody was confused as to which version of the Loki figure is standard and which one is the variant, the one pictured here is the long-horned version, and it is the regular version of the figure.

Loki. What can you say? He's an absolute must have for any Thor or Avengers fan out there. He's Thor's evil half brother and he was the reason the Avenger's joined as a team in the first place. I'm surprised it took him this long to appear in the Marvel Legends line up. This figure has great details and is articulated very well. He has a removable, plastic cloak. It's pretty stiff, but looks nice when you are displaying him. He has his trademark, long horned helmet, knee/forearm/shoulder armor, and a sinister look on his face. He comes with a sword that has ancient Norse writing on both sides of the blade. Either of Loki's hands could hold the sword, but his right hand seems to be specially made and jointed for holding it. His left hand is sculpted so that he could hold a staff, or scepter very well--just like he's doing on the cover of the comic book that he comes with. (I thought it would be cool if he actually came with a scepter AND a sword) The comic is a reprint of Journey Into Mystery #116 from 1965. It's excellent for seeing Loki at work employing his evil tricks to defame and destroy Thor. I'm not too crazy about his costume, though. It's not the "classic" Loki costume, his boots are mostly brown, his helmet is NOT removable, and the shoulder armor greatly restricts his arm movement. Also, the length of "cloth" that comes down from the back of his helmet onto his back restricts his head movement a lot. His classic costume wouldn't have had these problems and ToyBiz has made other Marvel figures with removable helmets. But, since he's mostly a plotter instead of a fighter, I can get past this. There is a variant figure of this character available, too. The head sculpt shows Loki with his Crown of Lies helmet (shorter horns) instead of the long horned version. It's the same figure with a different head. If you can't find the variant, don't worry. You're not missing that much at all. Marvel Legends continues with its "Build A Figure" campaign. Loki comes with a piece of a larger figure that can be assembled when the other figures--and their respective pieces in the series--are purchased. When completed, this series builds the X-Men villain, Onslaught. Onslaught isn't as big as the past characters (Galactus, the Sentinel, Apocalypse, or Giant Man), but he still looks fine and is nicely detailed. Onslaught is a great character and has good articulation, but the characters in this series sell themselves and I would have bought them regardless of the Onslaught figure. This series of figures also includes a character-dedicated diorama, or backdrop, that Loki can be posed in front of for display purposes. Loki is in good supply, but his variant is not. But, since only the head sculpts are different, you're getting the same figure anyway. I highly recommend this figure to Marvel Legends/Avengers/Thor fans.

Loki. Typically depicted as a god of mischief and a constant thorn is Thor's side, he can be quite a handful.

His sculpt is interesting with large curving horns giving his helm an engaging appearance. They've gone with the older wizened look to his face. I may have preferred a younger more mischievous look to him but the older face is fine and does give him a tougher appearance. He has a yellow and green color scheme with a patchwork brown cape. Loki sports a fairly full set of articulation however his hands are sculpted to only be able to hold his accessory. The one I have does have some loose leg joints that make him a challenge to stand but this may not affect all figures and because of ML's large articulation count you can almost always work it out. His clothing does restrict his movement somewhat.

His accessories include a comic, a VS card; you can use the card board back as a backdrop if you want using an included stand and the right arm of the build a figure, Onslaught. Loki also has a pretty cool sword with ancient "Norse" markings engraved on it that he can use to mix it up with Thor and it looks pretty cool. His hands are both sculpted to hold this but he only has the one sword. His helm is not removable.

Onslaught himself is a bit of an unusual cat. A kind of solid projection of Professor X's bad side combined with a bit of Magneto and taken a life of its own he was bad news for a while. Not sure if he was really that popular a villain though, although he did set some heavy events into motion. The figure is not the giant build a figure (BAF) we're used to from past series and is more in scale with the regular big figures like Abomination. However, he is really massive, as in heavy and bigger than most any regular figure but don't expect a giant. He comes up to about Apocalypse's waist. He is really detailed too though and has tons of articulation so is a cool figure and they went all out on the sculpt. Still, it would have been neat to see him in a bit of a bigger size.
