5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best X-Villians Yet
Omega Red has always been one of my favorite X-Baddies, and I've been rooting for him to be on the big screen ever since the X-Men movie. Alack and alas, that has not yet come to pass. We can still hold out hope for the Wolverine spin off movie.

Speaking of Wolverine, Wolverine is Red's arch-nemesis, so it is great to see Red in scale with the other legends...

3.0 out of 5 stars Omega Omega Omega Frat House
Omega Red, from Russia's version of the Weapon X program is a tentacled titan with a "death factor" mutant ability. This ambiguously named power, um, causes you to... die, I guess. But hey, he's a big red dude with tentacles who kicks the X-Men around some so that's cool.

He's got a big and solid sculpt although a little flat from back to front for some...

Omega Red has always been one of my favorite X-Baddies, and I've been rooting for him to be on the big screen ever since the X-Men movie. Alack and alas, that has not yet come to pass. We can still hold out hope for the Wolverine spin off movie.

Speaking of Wolverine, Wolverine is Red's arch-nemesis, so it is great to see Red in scale with the other legends figures, like the Series 12 Astonishing X-Men Wolverine. And by in scale, I mean true to comic scale, as in towering over.

This is the best Omega Red I've ever seen. The articultion is great and the tenticles, wich are identicle to the ones that the Sentinel come with, allow for many exciting posing possibilities.

Aa I said, Omega Red is one of my favorite baddies, so that makes me a little biased, but this is still a great action figure.

Great figure very colorful and poseable. This part of series of seven to build a Sentinel. Omega is worth having for any collection. The picture does not do it justice.

Omega Red, from Russia's version of the Weapon X program is a tentacled titan with a "death factor" mutant ability. This ambiguously named power, um, causes you to... die, I guess. But hey, he's a big red dude with tentacles who kicks the X-Men around some so that's cool.

He's got a big and solid sculpt although a little flat from back to front for some reason. He's tall and has big feet. He's hard to pose though as any real action pose with the tentacles out from his body seems to weigh him down and cause him to fall. It may just be my figure but he has a hard time balancing. On the up side I did get him into a crouch with his tentacles wrapped around Nightcrawler from the previous series while Nightcrawler kicked him in the face and that was pretty cool but the center of gravity was centered well. Mine has been a mixed bag on posing.

Also, and again, maybe its just mine, but the paint on the armor is not very solid. The red is very faded on the shoulders. All in all the figure did not impress me as much out of the package. He dose have plenty of articulation though and his tentacles fit snuggly into his wrists and are removeable.

As you have your choice of him or Mystique as both come with the same piece of the mutant killing 16" Sentinel (5 stars!) I'd still pick him. Maybe keep an eye on that paint though.

5.0 out of 5 stars OMEGA RED IS A MUST-HAVE FIGURE..., December 23, 2005

From the Sentinel Series, (or Series 10), is the Omega Red action figure. He's fantastic!! It's the same body sculpt as the Venom figure from the Spiderman Sinister Six boxed set and Sabretooth from Marvel Legends 5, so he's big and the articulation is very good. All of the joints were tight and nicely concealed on this figure. The paint job is very good and there are a lot of nice details on this figure that make him a must-have for kids and collectors. He is definitely one of the very best figures in the Sentinel series. He comes with a comic book that kids will enjoy reading and 2 "bendy" tentacles that attach to his wrists for capturing X-Men. As I mentioned, he is part of the Sentinel Series. Which means 2 things this time-you get a wall mountable display base AND you get a piece of the Sentinel's huge 16-inch body. The display base is simply a pedestal-style base of clear plastic to make the character seem as if they are flying or in the middle of a jump. But, it can be placed on the wall or on a sturdy, flat surface for displaying. It is basically the same base that came with the Vision and Deadpool figures. When you get 6 of the 7 figures in this series (Mystique and Omega Red have the same body piece), the pieces can be joined together to make the 8th figure in the series-the Sentinel!! The massive, mechanical menace that hunts down the X-Men and other mutants and eliminates them. Everyone will surely buy all the figures they will need in order to get the Sentinel. It truly looks awesome when it is assembled. Then again, the character selection in this series is so exciting; you'll want to buy them regardless of the Sentinel. This figure is not that well stocked, so finding another may not be easy. ToyBiz is trying to make sure there is enough of every character so that everyone has a chance to build the Sentinel. Get him because he will go fast.
