4.0 out of 5 stars pretty nice
not bad for a marvel legend. most marvel legends are skinny and flimsy, but the panther figure is not that bad at all. it's not flimsy and is built to a well porportioned size and it comes with a sentinel arm. even if you're not collecting to build a robot at least you have an arm to throw at your dog.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected
The Figure looks nothing like the picture!! It is smaller than I expected and Leaner, less muscle bulk. Everything looks to small. If you try to pose him in the same pose as the picture, he looks nothing like it. Legs, arms , torso, are all two thin. The details in his costome don't even match the picture. I was looking for a much better quality Figure.
Very Very...

5.0 out of 5 stars Black Panther in the hiz-ouse, April 10, 2006

I love this figure. I got the Wonder-Man, which is basically just a head swap from this body, but much prefer my Black Panther. Why, you ask? Better motion in the articulation (no defects, perfect tightness), i like the purplish black paint job, i love the sculpt details (claws on fingers, "talons," on boots, face mask pull around nose.) He poses well, the cape is a great touch, and the included extra, the Sentinel part, is my favorite BAF yet, so no complaints there either. BP represents, y'all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Marvel Legends: The Black Panther Strikes!!, April 2, 2010

Marvel Legends: The Black Panther Strikes!!

Before the Marvel Legends line of top notch action figures gradually disintegrated, this depiction of the stealthy Black Panther was among the series' best. With his bendable golden claws ready to strike, King T'Challa of Wakanda has never looked better in his ebony costume complete with black cape and gold trim.

The figure has fairly decent articulation points for posing, but, more importantly for collectors, he can stand up just fine on his own (without a display base). As a toy for kids, though, I'm not convinced its durability is necessarily meant to last long, so you might want to think twice about handing this figure over to a child.

Rating: 10/10 - An outstanding effort from Marvel Legends.

My son Vincent is very happy with his Black Panther. He had to wait a while before he got it, but now that it arrived he's absolutely crazy about it!

5.0 out of 5 stars An oft overlooked Avenger, March 27, 2006

Marvel Legends brings us another avenger in the 10th series. The figure is in true ML fashion, highly articulated, and beautifully sculpted. As I said in the title, BLack Panter is one of the Avengers, and seeing as this team is so piviotal in the Marvel Universe it's nice to see it's members getting some respect (in the from of decent action figures), rather than just Captain America, and Iron-Man over and over again. This figure looks great with or with out the removable cape, though the cape is a bit heavy, and of course he comes with a much needed Sentile piece.

4.0 out of 5 stars Black Panther Power!, February 15, 2006

This review is from: Marvel Legends Sentinel Series Figure: Black Panther (Toy)
I have never been a huge Black Panther fan but this is a very well done figure and a solid buy even if you don't want the piece of the 16" giant Sentinel it comes with. Of course the Sentinel is the highlight of the whole series and is a massivley cool figure so you're probably wanting it anyway.

For the Panther, solid sculpt and body with excellent articulation and nice big boots so that even with his cape he can stand or crouch easily. The cape comes off if you want which gives him a more classic look. The fingers of each hand are articulated separatly and have a claw on each so you can pull of some excellently scary poses in which he looks ready to claw someone into submission. A nice deep solid black covers the figure and he has golden belt, claws and cape clasp.

The figure looks good enough to deserve a place on display. A good solid figure overall.

From the Sentinel Series, (or Series 10), is the Black Panther action figure. I really like this figure except for one thing-he doesn't seem big enough. When you stand him up against other Avenger characters, he just doesn't seem to be in the right scale as the rest. Other than that, he's great!! The articulation is excellent. The fingers can all move separately, except the thumbs--they don't move. All of the joints were tight and nicely concealed on this figure. The paint job is fine considering he's mostly black. It's pretty hard to screw it up. The figure has great details like the claws on each finger. You can pose each hand in some pretty cool slicing positions. The cape is made of a light rubber so it doesn't weigh the figure down or place him off balance. It is a little long, though. But, it can be removed and then put back on, if you want. The figure comes with a copy of the classic Avengers #87 comic book that tells the tale of the Black Panther's origin. I thought it was strange that ToyBiz would put a comic book in the package that showed the character in his classic costume and then make the figure in his modern, more updated costume. I like them both, but would have preferred the classic look. As I mentioned, he is part of the Sentinel Series. Which means 2 things this time-you get a wall mountable display base AND you get a piece of the Sentinel's huge 16-inch body. The display base is simply a pedestal-style base of clear plastic to make the character seem as if they are flying or in the middle of a jump. But, it can be placed on the wall or on a sturdy, flat surface for displaying. It is basically the same base that came with the Vision and Deadpool figures. When you get 6 of the 7 figures in this series (Mystique and Omega Red have the same body piece), the pieces can be joined together to make the 8th figure in the series-the Sentinel!! The massive, mechanical menace that hunts down the X-Men and other mutants and eliminates them. Everyone will surely buy all the figures they will need in order to get the Sentinel. It truly looks awesome when it is assembled. Then again, the character selection in this series is so exciting; you'll want to buy them regardless of the Sentinel. This figure is not that well-stocked, so finding another may not be easy. ToyBiz is trying to make sure there is enough of every character so that everyone has a chance to build the Sentinel. Get him before he's gone.

I bought this for my son, he thoroughly enjoyed it until he preceeded to rip it's head off and feed the peices to the dog! I must say in his defense it took a whole week before the above mentioned materialized!, I would recommend this for children without ADHD or bipolar disorders...
