1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy This Item, December 30, 2009

I realize that the economy is down and companies are trying to save money but this product is ridiculous. It is flimsy and the platforms that are "supposed" to support the figures just barely do so if you are careful not to put any pressure on it. The previous playsets and vehicles that were made for the squadies were much more durable and along the same quality as the imaginext series. Now, the figures are fantastic and the accessory playsets and vehicles will not last a week with a five year old. I am very disappointed in the quality of the product.

My son received this for his birthday and was pretty disappointed. My son wanted this set so he could play with all of the little figures that go with it. This toy is flimsy and doesn't really do much of anything. For $20 it should be better. The only thing I like is that it folds for easy storage. I for one don't understand the quality of the toys lately. This particular toy shouldn't be more than $10.00. A few of the other toys are even more expensive with poor, poor quality!! We are very disappointed...don't waste your money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Compare FIsher-Price Imaginext Toys -- infinitely better, November 25, 2010

Flimsy, cheap, over-priced, and the 'action figures' don't have movable arms and legs. Sheesh. This and other Hasbro toys like it are designed to look half-way decent in a catalog so that kids will bug their parents. But even young kids will be disappointed.

Check out the entire Imaginext line from Fisher-Price -- much, much better made, better thought out, better built and only marginally more expensive. The thing is that Imaginext has only DC characters -- not the Marvel characters like Spider-man. I guess Stan Lee is just too cheap to go with quality.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not too Sturdy, February 6, 2010
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars

I bought everyone of these Mini playsets for my son, as they connect to each other. I also have the Wolverine truck and bike set too. All of these things fold up and fall apart everytime my 4 year old plays with them.
I rebuild it and he plays with it for a couple of minutes before they fall apart again. I'd say the value is in the figures that are included in the sets. The original Superhero Squad Bank with car was the best Superhero building, definately more sturdy!

Given to a 4-year-old. He liked it and it made for good interactive play (me, him and his 7-year-old brother).

It is a great concept; however, the quality is so poor that it will be in the trash by the end of the week.

This is an overall well constructed little city for your small size figures. I find that the Super Hero Squad sets work pretty well with the Batman Imaginext sets, etc., because the sizes are pretty comparable. This set gives your super hero fan a little city to stage battles. Problems that we have experienced -- the "landing" for the gun comes off pretty easily, and it is too difficult for our four year old to get back on his own. Same can be said if it comes apart -- too hard to set it right on their own. But, I like that it folds up and the colors are great. An absolute plus that Ironman came with this one. The kids really enjoy the crane. I also like that it can attach to other sets to make a bigger play area.
