I found this toy a little complicated to transform back and forth. My 4 year old definitely couldn't do it himself, and we had to consult the instructions in order to figure it out. The age range for the product says 5 years and up though, so I'm sure older kids will have an easier time of it.

On the plus side, the toy comes with missles that shoot out with the touch of a button. This works in both jet and figure mode. This is definitely the coolest thing about the toy. The pieces store on the figure for the most part, but they are easy to lose. The figure is maybe 9" or so tall (approximate).

Other than the shooting missiles though, the toy doesn't really do anything else. There are no sounds/lights, motion, etc. Not that every toy has to "do" something, but there are other transformers out there that are bettter. I'd recommend The Batman Shadowtek Batmobile Shadowbot Vehicle as an alternative (or addition). It is a little bigger and has lights and sounds, also shoots discs... basically a similar product, but more interactive for your money.

Overall, this is not a bad toy, and if your child likes superheros, I'm sure it will be a hit. I just wish it were sturdier and eaiser to flip back and forth between plane and superhero.

Think of a rubiks cube! thing is IMPOSSIBLE to transform. It is by NO MEANS easy. Children are supposed to transform it? My son is a transformers GENIUS and he hands the darn thing to me: Daddy, can you transform it again? Directions might as well be in Chinese. I figured it out, but after it fell apart 4 times during the "Transformation." Steer clear of this one folks. Hasbro and Marvel pushed this turd out way too fast. I bought the spider-man one for my other son and he has yet to open it. I can't wait for the call from his Mother saying what on earth did you get this thing for? JUNK. Seriously. Transform your mind on this item and get something that's worth it. Or keep your money and transform it into money saved! This is an insult to both Marvel comics and Transformers.

Well it was in its package, But the toy was hard when my son tried to transform it and the arms come apart.

After transforming the toy for about one month, the "waist" of the Iron Man flops over from bending too often. But, my daughter LOVES her Ironman and does not have any complaints She also frequently loses the parts that come with the Ironman like the wings and the rockets. So, it is a pain for me to always have to look for the lost parts.

It's pretty difficult for a 4yo to transform. Honestly, it's pretty difficult for an adult to figure out how to transform Ironman also. So, I guess this toy is slightly educational since you have to figure out how to transform this toy at your child's whim.

A lot of the negative reviews for this toy comes from bad buying experiences from 3rd party sellers on Amazon and are not a reflection of the toy itself.

This is a good transformer. A nice if a bit stubby airplane mode with 2 missle launchers. The transformation is neat and all parts peg together well. The robot mode has awkward ratcheting hip joints, making some poses hard to do. But all in all in has good articulation. The single missles on the wing tips tend to pop off easily and have the potential to be lost - so I super-glued them on and they stay put. An undocumented feature is that the twin missle packs attached to the wings can peg onto the arms of the robot. Gives the robot a heavily armed looked.

It is one of the more complex/less intuitive transformations out there, so stick to the instructions to get it right if you are having trouble. I could see how a 5 year old would have trouble with it.

For the reviewer who wanted it to do more (like lights and sounds), I say pay more attention to the product details. If it has lights and sounds it would be documented. Oh and be prepared to spend more money. The gimmicks of these toys are the transformation into comic book characters and firing missles. If you want a transformer with lights and sounds and firing missles, prepare to spend around $25 or more on toys such as Transformers Universe Ultra Class Powerglide or Leader Class Transformers Animated Megatron.

This toy is rated for 5 year old children, though it was difficult for me to figure out. Parts fall off but can be put back on , by an adult, easy enough. My kids, 6 and 4 years old, love it, but i am continually puting it back together, and into their desired shape.

My grandson loved this toy and asked for it for Christmas. Amazon was the only place I could find it. Thanks, Amazon and Iron Man!

I ordered this toy 11-23-08 and never recieved it! The money was taken from my acct by the end of the business day and still have not heard one word on it. I have sent an e-mail letter requesting a tracking # and date of shipment with no reply.I ordered two toys at he same time, one from mightymatts one from amazon and i recieved the one from amazon and has been successfully delivered and never one word from this "mightmatts". PLEASE DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM THIS PERSON YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF!!! I am beginning the process of filing claims and you will have to do the same if you order from them.

I ordered this (from Mighty through Amazon) the first or second week of November and never ever received it. It was the only gift my 5-year-old wanted for Christmas. And a few days before Christmans all Amazon could say was 'request a refund'. By then it had been sold out everywhere on line and in stores. I'm sooooo disappointed.

i was charged for this item ordered nov 29th for christmas gift and to this day have never recieved it.....i have contacted the seller with no response back and dont know where to go from here
