First Let's clear up some of the bad reviews of this game. No you can't change partners in VS mode but this can be done in Crossover mode so it's really no big deal if you ask me. I've play the arcade version and most of the combos were saved and put in the playstation version. This game is amazing and addicted. The gameplay is furious and the graphics are excellent and are not that far off dreamcast's. The game is great for comic book junkies like me who use to argue in their youth over who would win Spiderman or The Hulk? These game has alot of eye candy and with very different settings to battle thru. The sound in this game is clear. Please don't listen to the bad reviews or you are gonna miss out on a great game. Plus there is no blood in this game so it makes it perfect to play with the kids

Marvel vs Capcom is one of the best games I have played. It has great graphics and great game play that you expect from Capcom. Despite its lack of true tag-team mode due to the Playstation's limitations, I still feel that this game is incredible.

This game is simply awesome! Besides the fact that you have the coolest fighters to pick from, It's fun factor on a scale of 1-10 is a an 11. I've never played a better fighting game. I especially recommend this to anyone who plays in the arcade but is always beaten. This will reverse your outcome. Sure, it might look like the same capcom fighting game your used to, but anyone who has played the others knows this is the best. I just can't stop beating my friends with MegaMan and War Machine.

For those of you who dismiss this installment of the ever-popular Vs. series: shame on you. I think that this is a marvelous translation (No pun intended). You have to understand that even though the Playstation is one phenomenally ingenious system, it does lack in memory because it only has 2MB while Sega boasted about their now dead Saturn's 4MB capabilities. Nonetheless, if you've played the vs. series and liked them then I say go for this one. The graphics are pretty damn good for a PSX title, the sound isn't bad at all, and the animation is pretty awesome for a system with that type of RAM. If you OWN the prequels to this then I say forget it. You'll get tired of it in less than a week. Before you turn a skeptical eye to the game I would hope that you at least rent it and try it out. Many magazines will say that it lacks in everything but they forget that this is all running on only 2MB of RAM, a feat in and of itself.

This game rules in every way! Read the other five star reviews, rent this game, buy it! If you followed what I said you see what I mean! You know Tekken 2,The King of fighters 95,Souledge,Tekken 3,Rival Schools,Bloody Roar1,Bloody Roar 2, Jojo's 'venture, and now this there all in the same level:innovative, bizzare, cool, and seemingly Undefeated as fighting games! The Playstation is truly the number one system for fighters!

A Quality Playstation port of the arcade,

Don't listen to most bashing this game, most are only doing so because they are trying to compare this title Nose-to-nose with the perfect arcade and dreamcast versions.Indeed this version cannot compete with those but its still a decent conversion and a TRUE feat of the Playstation hardware, considering its limited abilities due to lack of RAM.Flashback to around 98' with the release of X-Men Vs StreetFighter for the PSOne,indeed it was'ent too great.Nevermind the lack of tag team the characters also had a limited amount of animation and there was slowdown. The title was still very playable but they could've done much better. Since then Capcom learned their lesson and fine-tuned the PSOne to run such games smoothly.Marvel SuperHeroes Vs StreetFighter was an especially nice port and so is MvC. The graphics are colorful and flashy with most of the backgrounds and effects during supermoves retaining much of their animation. The characters themselves look great and are also given a nice amount of animation. The gameplay is Fast and fun with little to no slowdown of any kind, even during screen filling supermoves. Had the game retained true tag-team play this title would definitly be a winner as the graphics and action are all Excellent. But unfortunitly even the best game developers can only do so much with the systems limited RAM.As in Previous Vs games the main battle mode only allows 1-on-1 fighting.Though its still very fun for those who can look past the tagteam gameplay. However there is crossover mode-Which allows Tagteam gameplay with the only difference being that you have to choose the same two characters as the CPU.It can get old fighting mirror versions of your two fighters but the mode otherwise replicates the Arcade versions gameplay very well. While its no substitute, this version actually contains features not found in the otherwise Perfect dreamcast version. The PSX port allows you to play as Onslaught in both normal and giant forms! Very cool. The game also lets you save and view character endings for later and there is a section that allows you to view and get a good look at each of the special partner characters like Authur and Unknown Soldier. Overall Marvel Vs Capcom for the PSOne,is a polished,Nice-Quality port retaining about 85% of the Arcade version. If you have a dreamcast you obviously won't want to bother with this port but if you don't have a DC and own a Playstation/PS2,this game is still a fine substitute.

I'll admit it, there are a few problems, but for those of you you dont own a dreamcast get this game.i'lladmit the dreamcast is a superior system to the current playstation. however, this game is still really cool. i am kinda annoyed how akuma's only SORT OF in it, he was awesome. Dont get disheartened, you can still use the Raging Demon, but only through code. Another downfall is that it doesnt have enough characters. I would really like to see Cyclops, Magneto, Iron Man, and Garuda from SF:EXa in some more 2D fighting games....

Ok so Marvel Vs. Capcom isn't THAT bad but still...it I lean more to a different game if I could go back in time before I purchased this.Of course its not all that bad.Choose up to a huge variety of fighters, each with an arsenal of deadly attacks.Whilst crushing opposition into the ground, and recieving hidden characthers, my expectations of this being a great game deflated. My complaint- 3 modes of fighting- ARCADE, VS., AND CROSSOVER...yawn...it would be a great game if it had more options.Still it has enough cool features to hold its own
