Lacks Original Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness covers,

Strangely, this book does not have the ORIGINAL Marvel Zombies vs Army of Darkness covers...or does it? It has those covers, but Ash is not on them. Each image of Ash is replaced by another zombiefied Marvel character. I don't know if the covers in this book are the originals then Ash got photoshopped in later, or vice versa. What I do know is...Dynamite Entertainment isn't co-publishing this book therefore the image of Ash isn't in here. Hell, "Ash" and "Army of Darkness" aren't even mentioned! It's weird. You'll see a ton of "alternate zombie covers" not by Arthur Suydam. You'll also see the original covers to the 1970s comic "Tales of the Zombie". They're okay, but I didn't expect them. It's kind of a sad marketing promotion for the new Zombie mini-series that revives/retells that old Marvel character's story. Ultimately, this book was cool for the Marvel Zombies cover art that is here sans cover titles, but was also ultimately disappointing too. I wish they would have waited longer, then just released the cover art from Marvel Zombies 2 as well. Instead, we get a bunch of filler. And I expect they will probably release a "Marvel Zombies: The Covers 2". P.S. No Spider-Pig alternate cover! They include Ms. Marvel but no Spider-Pig! WTF!?

i was a fan of the marvel zombie storyline due in no small part to the homage covers. this collection of the zombie covers contrasted with the originals include artist comments and is a great addition to the zombie collection.
