Bought this book for my son, who was having some self esteem issues at school. He is the only boy of color in his classroom and I felt that he needed to see images of himself or similar, in a book that talked about being yourself and loving who you are.
Very cute book. He likes to be read to, but he reads it himself all the time too. I think it did the trick, especially since the character in the book talks about superheros and my kids are superhero crazy!!

I think my child should read books that feature pictures of children of all colors. Frequently too many children's books reflect children that all come from a singular ethnic background. But for my daughter I like to mix it up.
