I saw this with a friend who actually was alive in the 1950's and 1960's and sang all the songs along with the actresses! It was in Albany, NY, in an extremely intimate little theater. If you have seen the show, you can relive it by buying this CD or these MP3's! I know that if you've seen it you will want to! If you haven't seen it and love songs from the 1950's and 1960's, this cast gives each one a cute, unique flair. The songs will be new again and your ears will be full of joy! You won't be able to wipe that smile off of your face for days, or even weeks.

Went to see the musical at Musical Theater West in Long Beach and fell in love with the girls.....nothing like prom night and then a 10 year reunion united by music of the 60s to bring back memories and entertainment. I found myself humming the tunes in the middle of the day!

I don't generally gush over a play but this is an exception.Living in New Jersey I often go to NYC and catch a few Broadway musicals. This was an off-broadway show that closed in January of 2010 and I'm sorry I didn't get a second chance to see it again.I have seen "Jersey Boys", "Hair Spray" (with the legend Darlene Love) and other rock musicals that were excellent. As good as those were I think the Marvelous Wondettes was better. Your face gets tired from smiling when you see this show. I haven't heard the CD yet but I know it will be great so I ordered it.

The Marvelous Wonderettes audio CD is simply delightful.It's a mini-visit back to the 50's. Some of the songs are even better than the originals. You've got to hear the wonderettes version of "Allegheny Moon" It's beautiful!
It has my "thumbs up" stamp of approval.

I saw the show in New York and had to have the CD. The tight harmonies are just beautiful and will have you singing along. Loaded with lots of great songs that you forgot you knew. These girls can sing!

This was a marvelous, sensational and comical blast! This was a musical that I saw at the El Portal Theater in Hollywood. The songs correspond with the skits. Prior to watching the play I heard a few of the songs on their website and thought nothing of it, but after watching the play I can't get these songs out of my head. I play the cd for the students that I took to the play and they just go crazy for it. The songs bring back fond memories of when we saw the play. I saw the play four times. The kids are from East Los Angeles and really did not want to see the play. They wanted to go to an amusement park, but I wanted to introduce them to the theater. Now they beg me to take them to a play.

I received this soundtrack as a gift after seeing the wonderful show in NYC. I LOVE IT! It is so happy and really makes you feel good. All the songs my mom used to listen to when I was a kid, that I now know by heart. A perfect gift for everyone young and old alike.

This CD is so much fun! Even if you haven't seen the show, the performers will conjure up images of the 50's & 60's for you with classic songs such as Mr. Sandman & Lollipop. The voices are beautiful and the arrangements are out of this world. Buy it now!!

I just recently saw the play on Broadway with my wife, we loved it.When we go on long drives we pop the CD into the CD player and sing along with the music, we are not that old, but we enjoy the music of the 50's and 60's

This show is so much fun! Saw it in NYC as well as in Laguna Beach. Amazing voices on this recording. They use the songs to tell a great little story about friends at a high school prom. The arrangements are terrific -- very much like the original recordings from the 50s and 60s, yet just different enough to add a theatrical spark. I bought this for my parents for Christmas. I can't wait to take them to see it on our next trip to New York.
