This "daddy" of British electric guitar, now resident in Australia, continues to develop his deceptively simple, extremely enjoyable style. I've loved his music from the start, when he cut "Apache" as lead guitarist in The Shadows some 40 years ago. He's kept his sound clean as his style has grown increasingly sophisticated. This album is a reflection of his meticulous attention to detail. I'd rate it 5 except for one thing: Marvin's guitar tone seems to have lost something. Just guessing, I'd say he used digital amplification of some kind instead of the valve amps that have given his Strat depth in all his other recordings - alone and with The Shadows.

This is a favorite Hank Marvin CD. He covers some great movie themes and plays them well
in his own style. The James Bond ones are especially cool. Really good production and
engineering on this collection. On "Son of a Preacher Man" Hank gets into a more bluesy
improve mode not normally heard on his recordings.

I already had a copy of this one but it developed some skips so wanted another as it is
probably out of production now.

Depending on what mood you're in; this CD fills the gap to a "T".
