This score has the ability to move one to tears and truly think about the loved ones in our lives. It reflects the humor and drama of the film, which I also gave 5 stars to, and touches parts of the human spirit so few films can do nowadays. A perfect companion to "One True Thing," which deals with a similar content but with more intensity and dramatic elements. Both films and their scores are truly outstanding in this modern era of moviemaking.

Beautiful, and Poignant, September 14, 1999

For those of us who loved "Marvin's Room," this album is a must. This is a truly beautiful score, to a truly beautiful movie.
