Oh my goodness....this Marvis Licorice toothpaste is fantastic! I've used the Marvis ginger mint (clean with a hint of spice), Jasmin mint (pleasant and mild, but reminds me of licking a bar of floral soap and then brushing it away with mint....so Far it is my least favorite) and now the licorice flavor, which the absolute best! This has such a delightfully clean licorice scent, and has a lovely not overwhelming flavor. The thing with Marvis is that the pastes are not super strong, but are flavored so nicely. It foams well and really gets your teeth nice and sparkling! This is an absolute treat for a mere $10.50 and the paste goes very far (i justify it by eliminating 1 pricey coffee drink a month...super easy!) One tube will last at least 2 months!

I have to admit that I purchased this almost entirely based on the packaging alone. I also use a Weleda brand Calendula toothpaste, which is flavored with licorice and fennel (no mint), so I knew that I would likely enjoy the flavor of Marvis as well. The flavor of Marvis is superb and I really enjoy using this over the standard mint toothpastes I've grown accustomed to.

I think it's superior to the Weleda brand based on flavor, consistency, and appearance alone. That being said, it's not entirely fair to compare the two, as Weleda is created without the use of Sodium Laureth Sulfate, while Marvis is not. If this ingredient is not a concern of yours then Marvis is a better option in my opinion. It unfortunately is a concern to me however (SLS causes mouth irritation for me at times), so I'll likely swap back and forth as I see fit.

I like licorice but hate licorice flavored things, so I expected to hate this toothpaste. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I bought it because I want to try all the Marvis flavors, even ones I don't think I'd like, and I was glad to taste this one. It was less licorice-y than I guessed, but instead put me in mind of a German pfeffernuse cookie, especially after my morning coffee. As for all Marvis toothpastes, my teeth feel cleaner at first than your average Crest, and stay clean all day! I run my tongue over my teeth on the way home from a full work day and they feel like they were just brushed!! I can't go back to the old brands, it's Marvis or nothing for me now. Bonus: since using Marvis I haven't had a cavity, and it's been a few years and I used to have them before. So yay!

I'm not a fan of Licorice, I actually bought this for my husband to try because he loves it. He didn't have any strong feelings about this toothpaste, but I was surprised how much I liked it. The flavor is there, but it's very mild and not too sweet like most toothpastes I've tried. I really appreciated that, and that it didn't make my mouth burn (again, like most other toothpastes). It has made brushing my teeth a much more pleasant experience. Also, you don't need very much at all, so even though it's pricier than other pastes, it lasts long enough to make me feel like I'm getting my money's worth!

Not quite like black licorice, but still very tasty. This is close enough to black licorice that my wife doesn't like the taste of it on my lips.. Not always ideal. So I use this in the morning before I head out the door to work. Doesn't have a gritty texture to the toothpaste, but it leaves your teeth feeling smooth. Delicious!

At this price Marvis toothpaste is definitely a guilty pleasure, but one that I've been routinely indulging in as of late. As previous reviewers mentioned, unlike the normal shelf stuff, Marvis just tastes great and leaves a fresh feeling in the mouth. I actually look forward to brushing my teeth every morning and evening. While not a must have, it's certainly nice to try.

I bought this toothpaste for the promise of an unusual taste, but was disappointed at how faint the licorice note was compared to the mint. The toothpaste leaves my teeth feeling like they're coated in a gritty film. That feeling passes rapidly, but the first moments after use are unpleasant. I won't buy this product again.

This toothpaste is very light, fragrant and honestly, I didn't feel the clean I feel when I use Herbi +, which I get from my local Indian store, (http://www.amazon.com/Herbi-Plus-Toothpaste-Natures-Ayurvedic/dp/B00CMT1IE4) for $4. I have tried many quality toothpastes, and honestly I was not that impressed. Thus far Herbi Plus is my favorite.
