This review is from: Marware Sportsuit Convertible for 2nd Generation iPod Nano ( Black ) (Electronics)
I bought a new Ipod nano a couple weeks ago and was surprised it was so difficult to find a case I liked. The new nanos come in various colors, so I was surprised most cases I found completely covered the ipod...what is the point of having a colored ipod if it is going to be hidden? This case shows off your new ipod nano nicely while still completely covering it. It also comes with a hard case you can slide it into that protects it if you are jogging in the rain or snowboarding or something...and it is a snug fit so I can't imagine your ipod is ever going to slid out. Another big plus for this case is that it has both an armband and a belt clip. I tried the armband sold by apple and it barely fit around my bicep and fell off if I flexed my arm muscle (and my arms are not that big). The armband that comes with this fits no problem and also has some give so you can wear it while exercising. I also saw that you can buy add on clips for your bike handlebars and car and still use this case. In my opinion it is a good value for the money and I so far I am very happy with my purchase.

I love this little case and the fact that it comes with a cover, arm band, and belt clip. I can still see some of the beautiful red color of my new Nano, since the front of it is mostly plastic and I like that. My one complaint is that they cheaped out on the belt clip and the clip on the arm band. You have to use a pen to release the belt clip to take it off. That basically means that I never use the arm band, because it's just too much bother. The Nano is so light that it works fine with a belt clip on the elastic waistband of my exercise pants, though. Why not use a belt clip with a quick release, that rotates? It would be so great to be able to remove my iPod from the belt clip and easily attach it to the arm band.

My wife and I have had iPods for years and have used Marware products with them exclusively. The system for the 40G iPod and the Mini were great - they worked well in every case, providing protection against shock and secure attachment with either the clip or the armband. When I got a Nano, I drove a 160 mile round trip to the nearest Apple store so I could buy the Marware Sportsuit for it without having to wait for shipping. Unfortunately, the Sportsuit falls short for a very simple reason - the velcro closure for the armband is attached so that the hooks and loops never have more than the smallest possible mating areas. The hooks are attached perpendicular to the loops. And there are gaps in the strips of loops that are as wide as the strip of hooks. Basically, the strap won't stay closed. The location of the strap relative to the iPod is also fixed, so in most cases when it is worn on your arm, the strap closes opposite of the iPod. It has a tendency to get pulled open as your arm swings against your body.
