A good selection of the works of Marx and Engels,
By Steven A. Peterson (Hershey, PA (Born in Kewanee, IL)) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME) Among key works: "Manifesto of the Communist Party"; "Critique of the Gotha Program," "Theses on Feuerbach," Excerpts from "The German Ideology" and "Capital." Also, excerpts from "The 18th Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte," "The Civil War in France," and "The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State." The volume concludes with a series of letters and essays that humanize the subjects of this volume. For those who want to learn more about the work of Marx and Engels, this is a useful volume. It is not, perhaps, as good as the edited works by Tucker or McLellan. Nonetheless, it is a solid volume. |
