Editorial Reviews

With the long-awaited release of Mary Don’t Take Me On No Bad Trip, Funky Delicacies makes available the very best psych/funk music ever made. Originally scheduled for release on the famed Chess label, this album was scrapped in the early ‘70s because it was deemed too trippy for Chess’ reputation. Muddy Waters and Donny Hathaway appear as session musicians on this psychedelic funk/soul offering!

good very underrated album sounds like funkadelic a little bit even though funkadelic was wilder still I'm a funk fan and this is for the psychedelic soul generation.

Great mix of funk/soul/rock with some psychedelic overtones. Well worth the money.
