Perfectly crafted masterpiece,

Beautifully and simply written, you can almost hear the birdsong and feel the wind from Rushing's prose. It's easy to care deeply for the few characters in this book, especially the innocent, honest, and kind Mary Dove. Mary Dove is about society's rules, wilderness being overtaken by civilization, but most of all kindness and love. This is a "non-Western" Western; I highly recommend it.

A terribly enchanting and unforgetable love story.,

The likes of this story have never been seen before, and most assuredly will never be forgotten. This is the missing piece of work that now completes the art of literature. The world of human emotion is viewed in it's most powerful, provocative energy for the first time. The ultimate fuel for the hungry soul, "Mary Dove" will ignite a fire inside you, that even time can not extinguish.
