This book is a hardcover with a spiral bound inside, so it's nice to lay out flat for reference. It has a pocket to keep the included patterns in - nice touch.

If you have no sewing machine/ sewing experience, you will struggle with some of the projects. If you are a stitcher/ embroiderer like me, you can find good ideas and can use most patterns, but completing the projects in the book require sewing experience.

The project directions are given assuming you have sewing knowledge. If you do, great! Now, I'm off to take a beginning sewing class.

This book is very well done to all the color pictures of the projects. What I especially liked is the patterns are printed on paper and there's an attached envelop. It made it really easy to take the patterns and make copies.

The selection chosen by the author to be depicted in this book is a wide range with many items for everyone.
I am very pleased with the colored photos and the detailed instructions.
Mary Engelbreit has an updated yet homey take on crafts and illustrations. The patterns can be used for sewing,embroidery,quilting and for anyone craft where a template would be used. Suggestions are shown with more than one color template.
I am very pleased and found this to be a very reasonable price for all that is included in this book.
It is hardcovered with a nice color jacket. Patterns are included with detailed directions making it user friendly for every crafter.

I was a little disappointed . . . not your fault . . . some ideas are really cute . . . and I will be making them . . . others, not so much . . . maybe my kids will enjoy some of the projects.

Amazon, as always, was amazing in customer service and delivery. I seem to be using them more and more . . . I have yet to be disappointed. Jan

I bought this book for my daugther, as she loves Owls. It has some cute stuff in here, and the patterns are great.

This is a great book for easy, fun crafts with easy to understand guides and patterns. Some of the items are old fashioned and not my taste, but there are other crafts in the book I find entertaining.

I was quite disappointed by this book. The cover photo and those you could see online made it look like a fun purchase. Wrong. There were many project ideas that looked as if they were from years ago and not something I would want to give as a gift nowadays. Project instructions were vague and assumed crafting/sewing experience. Not beginner friendly.
