We bought this for our 5-year old daughter, who had been asking for a "big bear" for her birthday. We specifically looked for bears that were at least 20 inches and ended up buying this one. It's cute, soft and cuddly, but it's only 16 inches head toe... so it's not a BIG bear, and it's not 20 inches. If you don't care about the length, go for it.
