Bruce E. Dana is an avid student of the scriptures. In his studies, he discovered that there had not been a doctrinal book written exclusively about the mother of our Lord. He spent three years researching and writing Mary, Mother of Jesus and hopes the reader will come to know what a rewarding yet challenging life she had as the mortal mother of God's Son.

He is also the author of Mysteries of the Kingdom.

This is a well written book about Mary, and it is very easy to read. However, this book is written from the perspective of the Mormon church, with a different orientation to Scriptural interpretation than most Catholic or Protestant churches would have. It examines many aspects of Jewish life and culture during the time of Christ. It gives great honor to Mary. But the theological implications and conclusions drawn are very different from my own perspective.

A easy to read book. Short chapters, so as you can finish a chapter and mark your spot for latter. Easy to understand. Gives the reader a greater understanding of "Mary, the Mother of Jesus" and also Jesus the Christ. A very good BOOK!!
