About the Author

Doreen Virtue holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in counseling psychology from Chapman University, a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from California Coast University, and an associate’s degree from Antelope Valley College. She is a lifelong clairvoyant who works with the angelic realm.

Doreen is the author of Healing with the Angels, How to Hear Your Angels, Messages from Your Angels, Archangels & Ascended Masters, Solomon=s Angels, and the Archangel Oracle Cards, among other works. Her products are available in most languages worldwide.

I was very disappointed with this book. I have read everything that Doreen has written, and feel that this fell way short of what she can give us. It was simply stories that were sent in to her. No messages, no explanations, none of the wonderful insights that Doreen has given us in other books. It was just a bunch of stories about people's experiences with Mother Mary, categoriezed by Doreen, and woven together with not much thought at all. Hope this is not what to expect from Doreen from now on.

I've always felt close to Mother Mary and have prayed to her many times. This book is warm, touching, and heartfelt. Reading the experiences and stories brought me even closer to Mother Mary and reminds me what a loving, helpful being she is to us humans. Great buy if you want to learn more about how Mother Mary can help in your life.

I loved every single page of this book. I have always felt close to our blessed Mother and reading this very amazing book and the stories in it made me feel even closer. Thank you Doreen Virtue for writing this beautiful book. I defiantly recommend this to anyone who wants to read about Mary.

I love the insight Doreen usually provides in her books, so I found this one disappointing. It has many stories that people shared with her, but not much additional information.

Mary, Queen of Angels by Doreen Virtue is an amazing collection of stories from people around the world that have had Mother Mary experiences. These experiences came through dreams, direct contact, or symbolism. Doreen also gives the reader a glimpse into the past at many Mother Mary visitations that have occurred throughout the centuries.
All of the stories in the book are categorized by a certain theme, and can be very useful if you are yearning to learn more about a specific aspect of Mother Mary and how she expands that onto people that need her assistance.

I really enjoyed reading this book in order to hear first hand accounts of connections with Mother Mary; however I do wish that there would have been more of a narrative in the text from Doreen Virtue. This was the first Doreen Virtue book that I've read and I was a bit disappointed with this aspect; however I look forward to reading more of her books in order to see if the depth of the actual narrative is different. I would love to hear from Doreen herself, because I believe that she is an amazing person, and has plenty of knowledge up her sleeves!

I really liked the cover, title, synopsis of this book but it's not her best work; the stories are all very similar and appear to be written in haste. There's very little emotion in them. I expected more.

Doreen Virtue stayed in my peripheral for years before I ever read any of her work. I'd always see her on the backs of books and oracle card decks in the New Age shops I've frequented since I was a teenager. I'll admit I had my doubts. Doreen Virtue. Is that name for real? And what about that PhD? Just a marketing ploy? Did she claim to have her Doctorate in Angels or something?

I quickly learned this wasn't the case. Virtue has a legitimate background in Psychology. The first book I read by her was Goddesses and Angels, which I bought on a whim after it showed up on the list of books Amazon thought I might like. I read it at the beginning of my personal spiritual revolution. Wait. No. Scratch that. This book was an important catalyst for my personal spiritual revolution. As I read it, I outwardly joked about some of the ideas with my husband. Mer-angels? Haha. What lunacy!

But I couldn't put the book down. I was drawn to Virtue and her writing style. It was so infused with love. She wasn't trying to sell me something. She was humble. She was special but she wasn't. It was clear that she encouraged all of us to do exactly what she does in communicating with Angels, spirits, and the Divine. It was clear that this was something we could all do. And though I found some of her ideas radical and hard to swallow at the time, it sparked my curiosity and desire to learn more. So I did. And that's when I started having experiences of my own.

Since then I've read many of Virtue's books. I've listened to her Hay House radio show. I even got through as a caller once! I've seen her at spiritual expos. In that first book I read, Virtue told her story. However, in recent years, she's used her voice, which now has many listeners, to tell OUR stories.... That's precisely what she does in one of her most recent books Mary, Queen of Angels.

Mary, Queen of Angels follows the same format as some of her more recent books where Virtue acts less as "author" and more as "editor" and "collector." Or, to put it more poetically, she is a weaver of anecdotes which she collected from believers all over the world. At first, I wasn't sure I wanted to read what "Ros Booth's" or "Danielle Smutek's" connection with Mary was. No, I wanted to read this book to learn about Doreen Virtue's connection of course! But as I kept on reading, I began to understand the value in connecting with and being validated by people just like me.

Before this book was compiled, Virtue put out a call for Mary experiences. If I had seen it, I'm sure I would have felt I had nothing to contribute. But after reading this book, I realize just how strong my connection with Mother Mary is. For example, while I was pregnant I had a dream of a statue of Mary who opened her eyes and looked at me as I prayed to her. Little did I know that dreaming of a Mary statue coming to life is a common experience!

Although those who come from Christian backgrounds (as Virtue does herself) may have an easier time feeling a communion with Mary, the book includes stories from people of all sorts of religious backgrounds. I'm a firm believer, and always have been, that anybody can experience Mary as the Divine Mother, no matter what Path they walk. The book even includes an appendix chock full of useful information such as prayers you can use to work with Mary. If you feel drawn to Mary for healing, protection, mothering, working with children, or a myriad of other reasons, this is a wonderful place to start!

Mary, Queen of Angels by Doreen Virtue is a truly inspirational book about Mother Mary. Doreen Virtue is one of my favorite inspirational, spiritual authors, and this book does not disappoint to my incredibly high standard of her work.

Mary, Queen of Angels is all about Mother Mary. The story of Mary and a basic introduction is given for her. It is however, mostly a collection of stories about Mother Mary from people all over the world that have experienced her in their lives. Stories include everything from physical and emotional healings to helping find the right job (and everything in-between). These personal experiences are uplifting and brought a calming warmth of peace as I read them. Doreen does an excellent job with commenting on them.

This book isn't just filled with her reader's personal experiences though. She adds in encouraging words throughout the book about Mother Mary and how she can help us. Included in the back of the book are modern versions of prayers to Mother Mary and also the traditional Catholic prayers. I especially liked the use of these prayers in the book, and found it to be an easy go-to reference for praying to Mother Mary.

I really enjoyed reading this book and learning more about Mother Mary. It is a book that I think many people, especially believers and Christians should have and/or read. I highly recommend it.
