A forgotten gem,
By Lena Friesen "Stereogirl" (London, England, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Mary Queen of Scots (Audio CD)
Eugene Kelly & Co. came out with this in the late winter days of 1994, and it would have gotten more play if said winter had turned into a brighter spring. As it stands, it was unfairly ignored save by the people who had already heard the previous album, Oomalama. Loud friendly songs, soft sweet ballads and great humor and humanity abound, not to mention a certain overall feeling of getting up and moving on, which is just what Kelly did after making this album. It's hard to pick just one or two songs, but "Easter Bunny" and "The Moon's A Balloon" were the singles and are very fine.
