My seeds arrived in timely manner and seller included planting instructions, which was very helpful. However, my seeds never germinated! I followed the instruction carefully and planted them in a rich garden soil. I am not sure what I could do wrong. I have some gardening experience and never had any problems.

I've never grown these before but I opened the packet and finally started reading the instructions - which I do plan to follow.... I just find it so weird. Soak in bleaching solution for 15 mins then soak in water for another 10. dry them off then soak again before planting. I just hope it works but if it doesnt its ok cause Im not expecting much from these seeds. I'll try and stay hopeful though and pray.

Asparagus for Those of Us With Green Thumbs,

This review is from: Mary Washington Asparagus 100 Seeds - Veggie
I bought these seeds to experiment with planting asparagus, since I have never seen it growing anywhere. The seeds arrived in a timely manner and Hirts was kind enough to include growing instructions with the seeds. There are also many seeds, so I'm sure I should be able to get a few plants growing. I haven't planted them yet, but I expect a good harvest when I do.Update: A few years later (yup) I got around to planting them. I now have three very healthy, very lushly green asparagus plants. Do follow the instructions (though I'm not sure why you'd soak it in bleach...), but they do work. Already, I have lots of little shoots popping up. I can't wait until they get bigger in order to harvest them in bulk.
