I was looking for a similar item and saw these black, plastic paper plate holders and thought the price was right. But I read R. Johnson's review and couldn't believe my eyes - this person must have done SOMETHING wrong! So, I added 10 plate holders to my shopping cart and continued as if I were going to actually buy them and LO & BEHOLD, $3.40 for 10 plate holders and $26.00 for shipping!!! How the HECK can this be justified???

Add them to your cart, then take a look at your cart - you'll notice you'll be paying a total of just under $30 for 10 plate holders... that's because they charge you up the wazoo for shipping.

Don't buy these unless you absoultely HAVE to have super expensive, cheap, plastic paper plate holders. =)

This was a by chance find while doing a search. These type of paper plate holders are not always easy to find and the price was right, so I added it to my cart along with several other items.
My big disappointment came along with the package when I saw the invoice...$3.40 for 10 plate holders (which I was aware of) and $26.00 for shipping and handling (which I was not aware of)!!! These holders didn't even weigh 1 lb.! The shipping was less on a heavy duty fan that was also purchased in the same order and the fan came sooner! I could have purchased plates for this price! Complete rip-off!

I just bought these and the shipping was only $4.99 which seem quite reasonable. They were shipped immediately. I did see them cheaper at Restock-It, but I trust Amazon and have had them on my side when dealing with 3rd party sellers. That's worth the difference to me.

I even went to instawares site and there they charge 17.00 shipping and handling, the problem is theyre mainly a restaurant supply and have a minimum handling charge for small orders (I guess theyre discouraging them). They have free shipping for 50.00 or more, someone should buy the 156 of them, sell them in Amazon marketplace for 1.00 ea or 7.99 for a set of 8 and 4.99 shipping (USPS picks up free for priority etc) shipping, would still make out since I dont see any other plastic plateholders online without cupholders.

I bought 12 of these and didn't notice the shipping cost. By the time shipping cost figure in, which was unbelieveably high, I paid over $2 per holder. And guess what, in the ad it says "9 inch plate holder" and yes it will hold a 9 inch plate VERY LOOSELY. It appears that around the edges, a paper plate would lock under the edge and not slide around but that is not the case. Now I have to try and find some 10inch plates. I wished I had never ordered these. Just be wary of shipping cost too.

This was great for when I took a hot plate out of the microwave and couldnt handle it. Great price and sturdy.

I have been looking for these for a long time. These are great! The cheap flimsy paper plates that you can buy by the thousand at Sam's Club fit perfectly in these holders. No more buying expensive paper plates! No more dropped food because of a flimsy paper plate!

The price and quality of these plate holders is great. You get 8 plastic plate holders with one order, which if I remember correctly it never stated how many plates you were receiving. I love these plate holders considered we are a paper plate family! I highly recommend anyone looking for paper plate holders to make this purchase.

I ordered directly from Restockit due to the reviews I read here about Amazon orders. My order went FLAWLESSLY, the shipping was reasonable, the holders were as described, and they came within a week. I believe it's an Amazon/Restockit glitch with the shipping charges. I suggest that Amazon and Restockit fix their problem as this is a great buy and these holders are hard to find.
