This Pictorial History book was such a motivating factor for any of us who have taken the time to really digest the entire book. Mr. Taylor does a fabulous job of compiling the vital history of the House of David, and having been an actual member of House of David as Re-Organized by Mary Purnell, he has first hand knowledge that most others would never be able to acquire. Taylor does a wonderful job of telling this fascinating story of how the House of David religious colony got its start, and how after years of building up nearly an empire, Mary Purnell had to start all over with almost nothing, only to accomplish greatness a second time around. This book is a "must read" for anyone desiring to learn the whole story of the famous House of David, and Mr. Taylor tells it as well as anyone ever has.

For those wanting to read about scandals, urban legends and mysteries about a religion misunderstood, this book won't be for you. But for anyone who wants to read from a humble insiders perspective where pride is very apparent, then this is a must read. Ron Taylor not only captures the history of the early religion but also brings it forward in photos of the House of David and Mary's City of David along with newspaper clippings. By the time I finished reading the book, I had a whole new outlook of the community, one not religion dominated but more driven by their sense of community, working together and providing not just for themselves but for others. They have continued to live humbly, give of themselves and are a lesson to all of us on what is most important in life. The book is a true story of truly remarkable people!
