This book is a very special glimpse into the life of Our Lady after the death of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I was very fascinated by the descriptions of Ephesus in New Testament times, the author brings it so alive! I found myself imagining back to the years of Mary's life as she became such a strong symbol of Christianity, and her home became a welcome haven for the disciples between their journeys to spread the Faith. I would highly recommend it to all.

Recently we went to Jamaica Vermont and actually saw the a copy of the original Mary's House in Turkey. A friend gave me this book to read. I enjoyed it so much I could not put it down. After visiting this special house and reading the history of finding the house (Mary's House). I got a better feeling for such a special Lady in our life. Mary was after all first a human being. This house in Vermont even has a stone taken from the original house in Turkey. Book is very well written and the house a must see. Check internet for directions, those from the New England States it is a shorter trip than going to Turdey.SueLD

I received this second hand book in excellent condition just before I travelled to Turkey last week. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and passed it on to a travelling companion who also enjoyed it. It totally prepared me for the visit to Mary,s House. Although there were lots of tourists the cottage had an atmosphere about it that gave one the feeling that this could easily have been the house where Mary spent part of her life. I am so glad to have read this account of its discovery.

I dind't read this book: I devoured it. The author uses a clear, simple style full of vivid descriptions and details. The story behind Mary's house discovery is indeed extraordinary and intriguing. There are plenty of color pictures to help the reader to recreate it. I loved this book and I recommend it not only to pious devotees, but also to any person interested in holly places and the remarkable stories behind them.
