3.0 out of 5 stars Sounds like pop to me...
Ok so I bought this CD expecting another great production from Luny Tunes. I have mas flow, la trajectoria, mas flow 2. They've never let me down until...now...This production feels waayyyyy too much like pop music. I really don't think it's Luny Tunes but more the direction that Reggaeton is taking. I'm really not liking it. Whatever happen to el tigeraje, el tirareo'...

5.0 out of 5 stars Off tha Hook!!!, October 3, 2006

This review is from: Los Benjamins (Audio CD)

5.0 out of 5 stars Reggaetonline CD Review: Los Benjamins, October 17, 2006
This review is from: Los Benjamins (Audio CD)
Franklin Alegria, [...]- October 02, 2006 - The long awaited and most anticipated Reggaeton CD of the year "Los Benjamins" by Luny Tunes and Tainy was released yesterday September 26th, 2006. I was thankful I had my hands on this CD yesterday because I went to three different stores and it was sold out. Finally when I thought I was not going to find it that day I went to Wal-Mart I found the last copy available and purchased it. Knowing what Luny Tunes are capable of in the Reggaeton industry, the public is well aware of the fact that they will do a good job in every CD they release. Once again, after listening to "Los Benjamins" they proved they are still the best producers of Reggaeton.

"Los Benjamins" had various tracks with some of the most famous well known Reggaeton artists including; Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Wisin, Yandel, Zion, Hector "El Father" and many more. A Mexican pop artists group RBD, also known as Rebelde was also included on the album. Starting off, the CD began with a good intro "Royal Rumble" with a number of the best artists of the industry. Every song in this CD had and unique and original beat. The lyrics in every song showed the talent these artist have and how hard they worked to be a part of another classic. The CD contains 22 tracks to satisfy any person no matter what style they like most. Artist did outstanding jobs in the CD. Some songs that were excellent included: `Noche De Entierro', `Beautifu'l, `Entregate', `Acelera, Esta Noche', and many more.

You can always expect a lot from Luny Tunes and their young partner Tainy. In the past years from Mas Flow to Mas Flow II, and now The Benjamins, the songs these albums contained were classics and expect guaranteed hits in the future productions. "Los Benjamins" is worth every penny spent by the audience from the first track to the last one. That's why "Los Benjamins" receive a 9 out of 10.[...]

5.0 out of 5 stars This is off Da Chains, September 29, 2006
This review is from: Los Benjamins (Audio CD)
Lemme Tell you that i got this album 4 days before original release date and heard this from top to bottom to scrutinize this....Man this album is off da Hook. Luny Tunes and Tainy Tunes just outdid themselves in this album....I have to Say when you get this Album and hear the First Track ur gonna like it. The first track is All the All stars to this date on one track. Daddy Yankee just rippin the opening verses, Don Omar(verses taken from the beatiful track; i guess he aint wanna record wit Yankee next to him), Zion with his chorus, Yomo and Franco with their Killa lyrics, Hector the master just rippin it to with Wisin & Yandel. Nothing is betta with these lyrical masters on track. Their are a few low points with the album when it comes to track #'s 2,14,19,16....These tracks are not bad but they dont stand out. Their arent that horrible cuz the production value is bearable to listen to and give a chance.....Look da hottest ones dat stand out is the intro, Don Omars, Zions tracks, Wisin Y Yandel, and Franco "El Gorilla". Alexis Y Fido wit "EX". Dis track is hot cuz it reminds me of some of my Exes i do again. I think the artist to shine out of nowhere on dis album is LUIGI with "Libertad". I dont kno about u but that track is off da chains, dat is a party pumpin track without a doubt.........This album is hot and overall every track can be bumped on a car system. Much Love and Bendicion to Mas Flow. These young Cats son los Maestros de las Pistas and i hope these guys stay around a long time. They are very beneficial to the world of reggaeton and true production icons of their genre.

I've purchased this item about a month ago. What I liked about purchasing this item was that I got to hear a short demo of each song, before I even purchased the CD. It made it easier for me to decide if I wanted the CD or not. That's why I take this opportunity to give you a good review, keep up the good work.

And oh yeah one more thing what in the hell were they thinking when they put RBD on there. Tisk tisk tisk... *shakes head*

This album is perfection from track #1 to track #21, if you are a regueton fanatic get this! Produce by a power house dream producer team Luny Tunes and Tayni, this album includes the best latin urban heavy hitter (Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, Wisin y Yandel, just to name a few), here you will find songs that will make you just shake it to songs that are just classics. The mexican mega super group RBD completes this album to show you that regueton is a force that's here to stay. A+++!

3.0 out of 5 stars Reggaeton... not as good as before, October 16, 2006

You can only compare this album to Mas Flow 2. Fact is, it's not as good, not even close. Is it one of the best reggaeton albums of the year? No...

I'll only discuss the best songs. Frankly aside from these 5 songs, the others are pretty boring:

The Rebeldo song... I don't like the group, but the song is ok. My only problem is that the lyrics are just so mundane... Luny tunes, Rebelde, and Tainy are actually said in the chorus. It's lame.

Wisin y Yandel - entregate. Again a great song, just not as good as anything LunyTunes have done for them on Pal Mundo or even the stuff i've heard from Los Vaqueros (that is a hot album).

Alexis y Fido - La Ex. Probably the best song on the album. It's a killer song, another LunyTunes Alexis y Fido classic. As good as Tiburon? hmmm... possibly not. As good as Eso Ehhh... for sure!!! Further check out the Reyes del Perreo, some killer new jams on there too.

Noche de Entierro. You've all heard it and it's ok, just nothing like Mayor Que Yo. It just seems so understated. It hasn't got that hype factor that you'd expect from a such a massive lineup like yankee, wisin, yandel, etc. It just feels like it never gets massive.

Nejo - Tu Me Arrebata. another song I am really digging. Great guitar sample. Nejo is the new Tego. I'm loving Nejo.

Generally though it's not that great. It's hugely disappointing. Remember all the MONSTER jams on Mas Flow 2 - Mayor Que Yo, Tiburon, Rakata, Mirame, Dale Castigo. Benjamins only has probably one in La Ex. Apart from that it's quite ordinary.

Disappointed. Waiting for Los Vaqueros. Wisin y Yandel are still brilliant. The stuff i've heard is brilliant
