This CD captures Pedro's novelty. That being a true romantic. The way he cries out in "Quien" or pleads his love in "Mi Forma de Sentir" is a testimony to his music style. Not too many other so-called "rancheros" can belch out a ballad like Pedro. In fact, of only three that can be comparable, two are blood, Vicente and Alejandro Fernandez. The other being, of course, the best "ranchero" voice ever, Pepe Aguilar. If Pedro is ever in town, he must be seen, as his performance is one of pure energy and enjoyment. I was lucky enough to see him recently with Ana Gabriel and, oddly enough, it was Pedro who stole the show. Pedrito, along with his mariachis, are a must see show as this CD is a must buy.

Pedro Fernandez is undoubtedly one of the three crown princes of ranchera music (the other two being Pablo Montero and Alejandro Fernandez). There is therefore no question as to why he is one of the most popular choices to sing novela themes. "Laberinto de Pasion" deserved all its awards and attention. At least half of these songs are modern classics, such as "Si tu supieras." If you've never heard him before, pick this one up first.
