Totally inspiring! Those are the first words that come to mind after reading this book. I found myself both laughing through tears and weeping with joy. In any case, this book tells the story of people who have dealt with and overcome adversity, and have done so with courage and grace. They are like your friends and colleagues who have become friends, people from the past and the present. It is indeed a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit. As I said, inspiring, and as with Johnson's other books, very well written. You will have a decidedly difficult time putting it down before you turn that last page!

I am reading the most amazing book... It's all about my hometown and our High School and all these reunions. You wouldn't believe how much the author has put down the feelings (good and bad) that we have all had at times...it's funny and sad and a real page turner...

This is a fascinating look at the human experience.
Mike Johnson loves people and presents the stories of his old school buddies with compassion.
I've never been one to keep in touch with friends from my past. This book has taught me that it's never too late to meet an old friend for coffee and go over old times.
