I read "Mask of Paradise" in two days. I could not wait to turn the next page. This book took me back to my youth to enjoy a story that was compelling, and still pure entertainment. The read is tried and true, carrying elements of 'pace' and 'suspense' with some great twists. It's a pure trip! If you are looking for a scintillating read, that takes you into a world of privilege and "great expectations" in the face of total adversity, this is for you. Congratulations Ms Bacia for letting me remember a day gone by, where there are no "serial killers", just good old fashioned scotch drinkers with their eye on reaping a quick dollar. It made me smile. PS I married one of the characters in your book!"
