4.0 out of 5 stars Another Clever Collection of Wit and Parody, May 20, 2008

This review is from: Maskerade (Acting Edition) (Paperback)
Another brilliant piece of theatre from Stephen Briggs and Terry Pratchett.

The play is based "very loosely" on a certain musical phantom and the opera industry. It is light and easy to read. I haven't tried it on stage but it is one that I would like to try and use. There are just enough characters to make it lively and not a lot of extras are needed. Staging could be very elaborate or very simplistic.

It features the irrepressible Nanny Ogg and Granny Weatherwax as well as Agnes Nitt.
