Masque Of The Red Death (1989) - With a deadly plague ravaging his Renaissance kingdom, Prince Prospero invites his friends to retire to the protection of his castle for ongoing revels, leaving the peasantry to die. 4.0 out of 5 stars Great version and a bad version of the same Poe story. September 5, 2013
Verified Purchase
The original Roger Corman film is a great film. One of the best of his Vincent Price - Poe films. The 1989 remake is a different story. Made at the end of Cannon's hey day this is similar in quality to their remake of "10 Little Indians" made the same year with some of the same cast. Some interesting elements but mostly a major misfire.

The Vincent Price Masque of the Red Death is a horror classic. The other one is a dud of a slasher film.
