Mass Effect 3 Soundtrack is amazing, the songs are epic, moving, atmospheric, and very detailed. Each song has a different atmosphere to it, giving you memories of the game, and giving you that full "feel" of each song. Every song is very well recorded, you can hear every detail, the quality is great. I've listened to this soundtrack many countless times, and I continue to listen to it every day, it never gets old... it's amazing in every way and detail. All the songs have good rhythms, epic moments, good transitions, and detail, making this soundtrack even more amazing. This soundtrack is very moving, I love it, it's an outstanding soundtrack.

My Favorite Songs: Leaving Earth,(Beautiful, moving, atmospheric) Mars,(Exciting, good transitions) A Cerberus Agent,(Exciting, fast paced, good rhythms) The View Of Palaven,(Atmospheric, epic, awesome, detailed) A Future For The Krogan,(My very favorite song on this soundtrack, moving, beautiful, detailed, great chorals, epic) Surkesh,(Good rhythms, exciting, good transitions, awesome) Rannoch,(Fast paced, exciting) The Cerberus Plot,(Good rhythms, great transitions) The Scientists, (Awesome rhythms, exciting, fast paced) Aralakh Company, (One of my other very favorites songs on this soundtrack, moving, atmospheric, epic, great rhythms, detailed, wonderful) Every song is amazing, but these are just my favorites.

The price of this soundtrack is a jaw-dropping deal; $5.99 for 23 amazing songs! This is a killer deal, if you are a Mass Effect fan, you need to buy this soundtrack... your missing out. It's such a low price for how fantastic this soundtrack is; all the songs are a good length, they are moving, full of detail, atmospheric, epic, and amazing... I would defiantly pay tons more for it... it's worth a lot more than $5.99, it's a really well done soundtrack. I love this soundtrack with all my heart, it's perfect. I recommend this soundtrack to any Mass Effect fan, it's really amazing and moving, it's worth every penny, I love this soundtrack... I love it a lot, it's outstanding.

I was very pleased with this score as it included all of the tracks from the game (aside from those recurring from the previous games) in a complete CD. Sound quality is good as is the duration of each track retaining the complete piece of music. My only dismay to the score would be the lack of the captain's cabin's three music tracks when Shepherd activates his radio. It also took a while to get used to as the sounds lean more towards classical and emotional pieces. This is a major strong point in the music however, in my opinion; it is a major shift from the essence of the games mythology, usually identified by the synthesized rhythms taking the underlay of the piece, as the more orchestrated pieces are primary. This gives the mechanical beats a passive place in the score, that is, if they are even heard at all.
In addition, the inclusion of a choir was interesting however; the style of it put me a little off as the vocalists lean more towards higher pitched voices and almost Goth themes. Take A Future For The Krogan, purely vocalist and tribal beats and took me completely off guard. The piece sounds more like Ninety Nine Nights, retaining a medieval theme as opposed to giving the sense of "this is futuristic" to its display. Granted yes, not all science fiction music must have a mechanical tone; however, it should be the underlay if the previous games and style of the game itself indicates this trait. (This is another reason why I was disappointed in the lack of the captain's cabin pieces.)
Aside from these factors, it is a solid work and, though unorthodox, this unique turn to the Mass Effect musical style gives it a powerful tone, the piano at its best in several of the games climactic themes. I was also impressed with the return of Das Malefitz from the original Mass Effect and the way in which their conclusion to the game was strong, yet did not leave me devastated one of my favorite games had ended. From the lack of the visual ending, the musical ending ends perfectly and that, is an accomplishment.

As the capstone to one of the greatest trilogies of the videogame world, it's only fitting that Mass Effect 3 would have one of the most intense, moving soundtracks recently orchestrated. From the emotive, piano-and-crash juxtaposition of "Leaving Earth," to the pounding fight themes of "Mars" and "The Cerberus Plot," this is a musical journey that will leave you breathless.

Compared to the free version of the soundtrack that released alongside the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3, this version is missing two songs: "Betrayal" and "Creation," which is a shame, because those two tracks are wonderful.

As it stands, however, this package is a solid purchase nonetheless, and offers a good amount of music for the price. If you enjoyed the game, then this companion soundtrack captures almost every major track used throughout. And fans of instrumental music in general will most likely find something to love in this well-rounded, atmospheric collection.
