I have been given this book as an assignment by my Bishop and absolutely love it so far. I am about half way into it, and upon completion will be taking an extensive exam on the text.

The book so far gives a great account for the formation of The Mass and variations over the years.

If you can get your hands on a copy, I highly recommend it.
