It is good, but not the best.,

This review is from: The Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary Review Manual for Ophthalmology (Paperback)
I bought this book as a question book for studying for the OKAPS during my second year of residency. I had already used the Chern review book and Chern question book the year before. This book has far more questions than the Chern book. This book also covers some topics that are not covered well or at all in the Chern book such as pathology, fundamentals, general medicine, and refractive surgery. The problem I have with this book is that the questions themselves are not high yield. There are a LOT of questions on minutia. While the Chern question book had fewer questions, I found that the content covered in Chern was more relevant to what showed up on the OKAPS. But if you have extra time, use this book too. And I suspect that much of the "minutia" in this book wont seem like minutia anymore when studying for the real boards. Anyway, I would recommend this book for some additional questions to work after the Chern question book.
As a side note, its true there are some errors in the book, but there aren't that many

I bought this review book in order to prepare for my written boards in 2004. I found that there were numerous mistakes in the answer sections making this a very hard review manual to get through. I would not recommend this book if you are preparing for boards. I would get Chern's review manual and question and answer book for board review studying.

Adequate but too detailed. Chern is more condensed and higher yield. If you have money to spare, get both. If you can only afford one question book (or have time to only review one book), then get the Chern.

This is a book of review questions including a discussion for each answer. This book is extremely useful for ophthalmology residents as well as recent grads preparing for the boards. it covers all topics in an easy to use format.
