About the Author

Mary W Bromiley is a fellow of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and has gained world-wide renown for her work as an equine physiotherapist. Mary is a past member of the Olympic Physiotherapy Committee and travels with the New Zealand Three Day Event Team. She is an instructor for the British Horse Society, teaches and runs equine sports massage courses, and is an accomplished author.

I have been performing (and continually learning) massage for a couple of years now and thoroughly recommend this book. Not only does it discuss anatomy and a wide variety of massage techniques but it also goes into passive stretching and provides numerous excellent photos and diagrams.

Importantly this book shows right vs wrong when it comes to many stretches or techniques and this is a book that you can constantly dip into again and again to gain new insights.
