This book is excellent for families. From intimate couples massage, to pregnancy, labor, and infant massage, it takes you through all the stages of family life. I have given this book in a bridal shower basket with oil and candles with great comments, especially when their first child was born a few years later. Wonderful details and vivid photos.

A good book, very thorough and without a doubt the best one to buy if you happen to be able to relax by looking at pictures of other people relaxing. Great enormous glossy photographs of happy, attractive adults and cute babies. Neat bits about massage from other cultures. Lots of fun little details, but little real reason to separate out chapters as the author does. But no matter; the book is great to read and might actually teach you something about massage.

If you are looking for a good massage book, you should buy this one. It's an excellent guide, the photographs are really helpful and it helps you transmit "good vibrations" using the massage. It's a very complete guide with information about Thai, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Chinese, Indian and Swedish Massage. Very helpful for beginners!

The success of its book lies in the illustrated (color photographs), step-by-step instructions in executing each massage technique. These photographs, combined with the instructions of the author, can help even the unfamiliar accomplish each technique with great ease. Various massage methods from the East and West are also incorporated in this book. There are also insights in aromatherapy. This book is totally a major reference material in the art of massage. In fact, it may just be all that you need. A wonderfully excellent read.

Ms. Hudson can't resist the temptation to throw in dozens of obscure massage practices from her extensive travels. The result is needlessly complex and snobby. If you are willing to make the effort you will learn something here and there, although some of the techniques are quite difficult. I'm not convinced that even Hudson knows how to do them. To sum up, this would mainly interest a massage fanatic. It's hardly an "ultimate" book on the subject. In the end, I returned my copy.
