Absolute Genius!
Mozart is mostly known for his operas, and his orchestral works. Mozarts masses are known but are not as famous as the operas and other works. Fine for study at a good price
This edition is fine for study of and reference to the Masses especially considering the price. Be warned, however, that the vocal parts are in soprano, alto, tenor and bass cleffs respectively. Lists of instrumentation and text translations have been added by Dover to the music, taken from a pre 1900 Breitkopf edition. The notation is acceptable though not ideal...

This edition is fine for study of and reference to the Masses especially considering the price. Be warned, however, that the vocal parts are in soprano, alto, tenor and bass cleffs respectively.
Lists of instrumentation and text translations have been added by Dover to the music, taken from a pre 1900 Breitkopf edition. The notation is acceptable though not ideal.

When I hear the solo alto part in the "Kyrie" is the most beautiful part of the mass. Thepart of the solo alto and the coro, is so powerful, it makes me think of what god has given to the most talanted of composers. The masses are heart-wrenching. I always said to god in my prayers," O dear lord, you are the most lucky. You get BROCKES PASSION, St. John, and Matthew's Passion, the MISSA SOLEMNIS and Mozart. You have the most beautiful music" Buy this score.
