5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect beach read, even for 29-year-olds!
When Massie gets kicked out of riding camp for showing some initiative (erm, cheating), her parents take away her Visa card until Massie pays them back every penny for the exclusive summer camp.

Even in last season's clothes, Massie rules Southampton style-wise. But can she make that much money without resorting to babysitting or working the SAT counter...

3.0 out of 5 stars Summer Collection
This book actually surprised me more than most of the Clique books, whose outcomes can often be easy to predict. It is short and somewhat lacks a positive message, which was disappinting to me as a teacher, but for a casual fun read, it was pretty good.

When Massie gets kicked out of riding camp for showing some initiative (erm, cheating), her parents take away her Visa card until Massie pays them back every penny for the exclusive summer camp.

Even in last season's clothes, Massie rules Southampton style-wise. But can she make that much money without resorting to babysitting or working the SAT counter (sunscreen and towels) at the local beach club ALL SUMMER?

You know Massie's not going to settle for anything less than fabulous, and when she finds out about Be Pretty Cosmetics, she thinks she may have found the answer. Will transforming the POTI (pretty-on-the-inside) girls into POTO's (pretty on the outside's) work out the way she hopes? Will Massie's excellent style advice be taken to heart by the LBR's? Or will Massie be without her Visa card for an entire long, horrible summer?

Read this and find out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too, May 6, 2008
This review is from: Massie (The Clique Summer Collection #1) (Paperback)
In the opening to the THE CLIQUE SUMMER COLLECTION series, Massie is the main character.

She gets kicked out of her ultra-exclusive horseback riding camp, and her parents force her to get a job. Massie comes up with a job as a make-up dealer for Be Pretty and does well -- in some ways.

In this short (it's only 123 pages long!) summer read, a lot happens.

This is a great start to a series that will keep us reading by the beach all summer long! So grab your frozen drink, book, and towel, and get ready to read!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Massie (The Clique Summer Collection #1) (Paperback)
Lisi Harrison has done it again! Massie is a member of the best riding camp in the United States, and it's time for competition. Her team will win, right? NOPE! Not with Fall-a Abul on her team. When Massie glues this girl to her saddle, and finds out who she REALLY is, it's bye bye riding camp. Massie is stuck paying for the camp, but, like a true alpha, she finds a stylish way to do it. (a "jobby", or job hobby) World, here comes Massie Block, make-up sales-person.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Clique Summer Collection: Massie, July 13, 2010
After I finshed readindg the 12 book of the clique: The boots are made of stalking . I started reading the clique summer collection massie and i thought that it was gonna be a borring story because when i read the description it was talking about a horse camp and stuff like that but then it moved on to girlier stuff like the purple streak and then to my amazement i enjoued liking it. I am mainly like Massie and Alicia combined but without the meaness. I am only 13 years old and i tend to be a girly girl who has a lot of good fashon and is an alpha but a nice alpha.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but bland and unrealistic, July 4, 2010
This book was actually pretty good and humourous but somethings really bothered me. First off, Massie is grounded and won't wear her old clothes so she just magically finds her mothers vintage closet? I was kind of hoping for some change there... Another thing is these girls act way too mature for their age. Yes, there are people that are 13 and actually do have designer stuff but the amount of stuff Massie has is unrealistic. I really do like Anastasia Brees though. Massie and her are perfect character foils. : P Overall, it is a great summer read.

what is this the 9th book written in the series. and its pretty much all the same. snooty spoiled girl who buy expensive clothes and need that "alpha" status. i omly bought this book bc i wanted 2 finish the series. i am glad the next books are from another grls point of view bc im sick of massie always wanting2 b the best. the bookss arnet realsitic either. what 12 year old girls have prada, marc jacobs, gucci, and juicy? yea thats what i thouht ... none. on a good note i liked anastasias character. she was a noormal good hearted prson and there arnet pple like that in this book.
