If you want it for your wall as decoration it looks nice.

Top Swords should be ashamed to actually sell this as it only gives them a horrible name for themselves.

DO NOT BUY THIS SWORD. I purchased this sword in hopes that it would amaze the average trekkie. Once I received the package, I opened it to see that it looks as if it has been made by a 10 year old. The holes cut in the middle are not straight, the grip tape has just been thrown on, it has hammer marks throughout the sword, and to boot, it has absolutely no sharp edges on it. I am completely embarased to give this as a gift to somebody. Top Swords should be ashamed to actually sell this as it only gives them a horrible name for themselves. Again DO NOT BUY THIS SWORD. YOU WILL REGRET PAYING FOR SUCH AN ABOMINATION. Merry Christmas.

I bought this sword to avenge my father's death and restore honor to my family name. Ever since the age of ascension I have trained, night and day, in the mok'bara, and I anxiously awaited the arrival of such a great weapon.

Upon delivery, this bat'leth showed promise.

Unfortunately for my family, my challenge to discommendation shattered with the edge of this infernally weak piece of...."equipment".

All who had a hand in the forging of this sad, weak item should have their family banished from the empire.

Qapla'.

I got this for Christmas and everyone was impressed with the bat'leth replica. The first thing I did was clean and treat the metal so it would shine and not rust. The handle grips are adequate but I’m considering upgrading. The bat'leth is not completely sharpened but I think for shipping that’s for the best. Be prepared to battle and bring honor to your house! Qapla'!

Received it as a present for Christmas and I love it. The sword is the actual size used on Star Trek. The leather bands is very cheap, but plan to replace it with more decorative band. It is now hanging on my wall along with my other Star Trek items. It is the crowning piece to my collection.

For me this is not a trophy or display item. I have an injury that prevents me from lifting much weight or from twisting. Walking is good for the lower body, but I was looking for something that I could use to create a workout that would include my arms and trunk (as well as give me some incentive to actually exercise). I debated for a long time on the Bat'Leth, but I'm glad I made the purchase.

Since I received it I've been working out with it every day. I've developed a few exercises and kata based on open hand and bo kata I did when I was much younger. I'm still getting the hang of it, but the more I get used to it, the more imagination I put into the routines. I look forward to my exercising almost as much as I used to look forward to my 5 mile runs (that I can no longer do). At about 10 pounds the Bat'Leth is well within the weight range I can lift, and because of it's shape and compact length (relative to a bo), I've been able to work out several realistic kata that require both hands or switching of hands and do not require any twisting. One thing I do need to do, though, is get a good pair of gloves. My hands have a hard time grasping the flat metal even with the leather grips, and those grips are nice, but aren't going to last long with this level of daily use.

I do not plan to go into battle with the Bat'Leth, or to ever spar with another person. I don't even have plans to sharpen the blades. But it is nice to know that if someone breaks into my home, I have another defensive item I can grab to protect my family.

This was intended as a gift and the person was delighted. Yes the "leather" wrap was not leather, but the sword is large, heavy and true to the show. It will hang proudly in his media room.

Nicely made. Has imperfections but my husband loved it and we plan to hang it in his den. Which will look lovely.

This looks great on my wall. If you are looking for one real Klingon would use look else where. If you want it for your wall as decoration it looks nice. It could be more polished and no hammer marks but great price for what you get.
