1.0 out of 5 stars Drips Constantly
FYI - I purchased one similar. Yes, it's prettier than most hummingbird feeders BUT it constantly drips.

Update: Since my initial review in July I have purchased the feeder and it works fine and for the money is an excellent buy.

I see several folks have marked it down due to dripping I thought I'd comment as I had the same problem with 2 similar feeders until I did some research and discovered that with this type of feeder it is absolutely imperative that when you fill it initially you make sure it is COMPLETELY full. The concept works on a vacuum - if air is initially in the feeder than it will gradually force out the nectar. If it starts full - a vacuum is created as the birds withdraw nectar and it should not drip (unless of course the feeder itself is defective - different story!).

3.0 out of 5 stars Lovely to behold, frustrating to use, April 6, 2008

This is a beautiful work of art to hang in your garden. However, due to the hand-made irregulariy of the opening, the rubber stopper is extremely frustrating to keep in place; if it loosens, air goes into the feeder allowing all of your precious sugar water out. I used clear packing tape as a solution to keep the rubber stopper in place, and it's working perfectly.

I love the idea of the feeder being solid glass, and it is very attractive, but it dripped from day one and never stopped. Don't waste your money.

Drips constantly, no matter where you put it (wind or no wind). Would not recommend.

I really love the look of this feeder...except it leaks quite a bit and attracts more ants than Hummingbirds

2.0 out of 5 stars Surface color peels off, December 14, 2008

In an effort to keep our feeders clean, I wash them regularly. When I washed this one, the red color started peeling off, since it is on the outer surface only. It still works, and hummingbirds are attracted to it and use it, but it drips excessively (as other reviewers have noted).

2.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful but useless, May 17, 2008
This review is from: Master Craft Hand Blown Glass Hummingbird Feeder (Lawn & Patio)
Just like previous customers, I loved the colored glass and its shape. Unfortunately, this is all that is great about this feeder. It drips constantly. When I finally arranged its position so it would stop dripping, air prevented liquid from flowing freely and birds could not get their sweet food, at all. Now, I am looking for another hummingbird feeder, one that works well.

I think it's very cute and resonably priced at $9.00 for a colored glass feeder. It would be even better with a perch fpr the birds to land.
