This review is from: Terminator Salvation Knife (Misc.)
I collect movie props as well as knives so I figured this one was a no-brainer. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect, but when I opened up the package, was certainly wasn't disappointed. The knife is packaged in a collectable tin, complete with graphics from the film. Inside, the tin is foam lined. All in all, simple...but nice. Also includes a small certificate of authenticity. Now, the knife itself....is impressive. As you can see from the picture, it isn't flashy, however the design is very cool. The 440 steel has got to be a 1/4 inch thick! This thing has got some serious heft to it, despite it's relatively small size(that is, compared to some other movie knives). And the coating on the blade seems thick and well applied. The knife also features a leather wrap towards the end of the handle, the leather seems to be good quality, and is reasonably thick. Etching on the blade is also clean, and well done. It has a decent edge, but isn't super sharp(personally, I could care less about that part as this is strictly a collectible for me). The sheath is a nylon fiber type with eyelets and cord through them. There is no belt loop on the reverse side, in case anyone was wondering. The sheath, like the knife, is simple, and also well made. I have collected all the Rambo knives, Indiana jones kyber, various Gil Hibbens, and I really am happy with this knife. For the price, I really don't think you can beat it. Also, I did read in various places that people didn't even see or know that Bale had a knife on him in the film...look at his right forearm, it's strapped there in the film. You can see it easier by checking out some of the stills from the movie.
