Unheralded..., May 19, 2010
This review is from: Master the GRE 2008 (Peterson's Master the GRE (w/CD)) (Paperback)
In the GRE book wars, Peterson's Master the GRE 2008 is unheralded combatant. First the positive: It has practice tests and questions galore and the explanations are terse but respectable. The negative: The answer explanations are terse but respectable and I found a mitake in one of the explanations-there may be more. Also, the practice tests on the CD that is included are somewhat buggy and some questions are repeated.
I believe this book is most useful as a supplemental study guide and its value lies in the plethora (GRE word) of study questions that allow mastery of concepts learned (or relearned) in books with more robust explanations, such as GRE for Dummies.
Pick it up, practice on it and you will conquer the GRE.
