The publisher's description promised an "arsenal" of circuit applications, but you wouldn't want to go into battle armed only with this book. The print is big, so you don't get many circuits. Most of the circuits are useless, either because they are too simple, or there are no values on the components, or the components are valued but there are no formulas supplied to allow you to adapt the circuit to your uses (for example, most of the filter circuits are not supplied with their associated formulae), or the circuits are impractical (lots of circuits for creating one kind of gate out of other gates), or finally the circuits are of such complexity that you would never be using them as building blocks (eg, circuits for radios and tape recorders). Finally, there's little or no theory supplied with these circuits, so this book won't teach you enough to allow you to modify the few circuits it supplies.

I already knew this book and was buying a copy for a specific reason. To be honest, if I were buying it as a more general reference, I might have rated it lower. It has almost no explanations for the circuits provided and may circuit diagrams are incomplete. They show all of the components, but not all of the component values. If you can, try to get an advanced look at a library somewhere before you buy. Otherwise, you might not be happy with your purchase.
