Master of Illusion is super fun!,

I'm a professional magician, and over the years, performing magic has lost some of the... "magic". This game brought me back to the days when it was exciting and fun! It reminded me of a time when I couldn't wait to show my friends and coworkers my latest effect. There are so many great effects on this cartridge. While many of them use similar methods, the graphical presentations make them appear to be very different and unique.
My favorite effect on it so far is "Funny Face"... they mix up the deck and select a card, placing it facedown without showing you. On the DS, you draw a face, which upon completion, becomes animated and says the name of their card. If you have an enjoy magic, (no matter your level of experience), you will get a lot out of this! The only challenging aspect of performing these tricks is memorizing all the secrets. But like any good magic trick, that is simply a matter of practice. Master of Illusion is one of my top picks for the DS

This is a steal. The deck alone is worth the price of the game. The interactive games are fun. The magic tricks are easy to do so you can concentrate on your performance. Tenyo and Nintendo together are GREAT!!!

I am almost 15 years old and I love this game. I have been playing it for 3 days now and it is one of the best DS games I've ever played! I've unlocked a couple of tricks, but there are still a lot to go. I love doing cards tricks on my own and this game makes it even better! They give you a special deck of cards and once you know the secret to them, they are really fun to trick your friends! In the game there are 3 game options, you can do Solo Magic, Magic Show, and Magic Training. In Solo Magic the DS shows you tricks that are mind boggling! Some of the tricks use the cards they gave you. In Magic Show they teach you how to do tricks and then you can show your friends and then you get stars (part of your ranking) for doing them. In Magic Training you can test your magic skills and improve them. This game is a must!! The only problem that I had with this game was one of the games in Solo Magic called Mystic Breeze, for some reason it never gets the calender I pick, if anyone knows what to do, please help me!!

Master of Illusion is a cute game, the tricks are fun. But it has a MASSIVE flaw that ruins the whole thing.
In order to unlock the next trick, you have to rack up points by "performing" each trick about 11 times. The problem is, you're only allowed to get a set amounts of points each day (about enough to unlock 2 tricks). If you don't want to wait, you have to turn the game off, reset the DS's date and time ahead one day, and then start the game again. Huge pain in the neck. However, the deck of trick cards are actually pretty fun to fool your friends with, and the game itself was good (besides the awful point system). Also, don't expect to be blown away by the graphics/music.

If your kids are tired of mashing buttons on another Nintendo DS action game, slip this into the slot and wait for...the magic.
Our two little magicians took to this game quickly. They enjoyed practicing the tricks on us. What is really fantastic is that the game has opened their eyes and interest into more magic, which necessitated a trip to the library for some additional resources. Bottom line, the game is easy to learn and fun to share. Hopefully, it will inspire your kids to explore the world of magic.

I got this for my 10 year old who's teacher is a magician so there was an interest in magic. She loves this game and has come up with a few magic tricks to amaze her friends and family. The only problem is that her sister wants to play her game and this is one she doesn't have to share - she says there are too many secrets.
Of all the 'magic' tricks, games and kits they have had, this is the only one that she has really spent time with and learned to do some tricks from. Great fun for those little magicians!

It's a great product, but the tricks are often pretty transparent. My audiences have all quickly guessed many of the ways that the tricks works.
I got this cheap on a Gold Box deal, so it's fun for the price I paid, which was $10.

My 10 year old was going through a magic phase, and we got a new version of Masters of Illusion for $10. This is NOT a traditional video game--more like a video prop to do magic tricks with. So if you realize that, it's really a cute product. The tricks are easy enough for kids to do, and are fun to perform and watch. He went through and learned the tricks in about 2 days, then was done showing the tricks by the end of the week. However, the marked deck that comes with it is great, and trick decks usually cost about $10. He's still using the marked deck a year later, so if you consider we got a ds game with a week's entertainment as a bonus, then it was totally worth the price. I would not recommend this game alone without the marked deck.

My young son loves magic. He has seen several television shows which show how magic is done, and really wanted to do some magic tricks.
This has been a great way for him to get started. The cards are marked, in several ways, and he learned to read them. It impressed the heck out of his 3rd grade friends. The magic doesn't stop with the cards, there is also magic and slight of hand that works with the DS Lite. If you have a young child who wants to start to learn magic, this is a great set to begin with. It does require a Nintendo DS Lite to get full use.

My brother already has this game and after he showed me a few magic tricks, I had to get this game. It's so much fun! I've only started playing this, but I'm already enjoying it and I haven't even unlocked half the games. I recommend this to anyone who loves magic tricks, card games, and anyone who just enjoys entertaining people!
