This Master Lock 1480DAT Stainless Steel Receiver Lock for 5/8” Receiver Hole has hardened receiver pins for increased sheer strength, and a precision 4-pin tumbler mechanism that resists picking. There is a K1 key blank for all receiver locks and this lock retains key for increased safety. Looks like a nice quality lock, but it is not long enough for many of the newer receivers. Not specs provided on the shaft length to enable buyers to determine till it arrives. e.g. it is not long enough for Tundra and some Ford receivers. Tri Max makes an SXT5 which is 1/2" longer and will fit.

I expected quality with Master Lock, and that is what I got. This product is not only effective, it is also very attractive compared to the ugly pins that are usually seen on hitches. I liked it so much I decided to buy another one. I would recommend this item to anybody who wants to secure their load.

Master Lock is always a name you can trust when it comes to locks. In this particular case, this lock actually did not fit my application. (Warning for you Tacoma, Tundra, and some Ram trucks.. this model won't fit your vehicle.. it is about .5" too short). I actually contacted Master Lock and they straightened everything out with a replacement model that does fit correctly. Master Lock's customer service gets this a 5 star rating!
