These lill' locks worked as expected on a recent trans-atlantic flight. TSA did open my bag (they left a note) but there was no damage to the locks, they obviously opened and then closed these locks as it should have been.

Overall, locks are of decent quality. Please keep in mind that these locks are no differnet from other Master Lock (model 4683q), only differnce is that there is cheap plastic cover on both locks and the keys. If you remove the plastic cover (which I did) they come out exactly same as model 4783 but note than model 4683 cost $10/- for 4 locks where as this locks (at the time of review) is $9/- for two locks. Doing the math, model 4683 is way more cheaper than this model.

These are great. I used them over the summer for traveling. They are made from heavy metal and have a lifetime guarantee.

These locks were fine for our needs. We never carry valuable items when we travel. We were looking for a simple key lock to hold the zippers shut and this more than fit the bill. They have already survived a few vacations and not having to deal with a combination was wonderful, Are they the best lock you can get?-No. But they are good enough to keep random fingers at the airport out.

These are very poor quality locks, and provide close to no assurance of durability. On first use, I was glad to see them on the luggage when I landed; but one of them literally came apart in my hands when I tried to unlock! Would highly recommend against these.

I had an unpleasant experience with the combination lock version so this is exactly what I desired. That picture shows 4 keys but it came with only 2 keys in total for both locks. The key into the lock is not a quick, exact fit and it takes much maneuvering to get the key into lock. If I travelled often, I would be replacing these luggage locks for something that fits better.

I have yet to find a luggage lock that is any good. I thought these were going to be ok. The only good thing is they might discourage rummaging thru suitcases. One lock fell apart putting it on the suitcase. Once on, good luck getting the key to unlock. You just have to keep trying til it unlocks.

these locks work pretty good but sometimes they don't want to open. I had to spray the internals with lube and still need to shake the key around when its inside so it can pop open. but they work. keep in mind if you are going to use them for the hard plastic pelican foam cases they WILL NOT fit. if you wanted for laptop case such as the pelican 1085 case it will fit.

While I expected these to not be top of the line locks, I did expect them BOTH to work. Unfortunately one would not unlock, and since it was bought close to the trip my wife and daughter took, I couldn't return them for replacement in time. Suffice to say while this type of thing can happen, it's certainly not expected for a brand name like Master.

We used the locks on a whirlwind trip to Israel. They function correctly every time.
Would recommend them as an alternative to those that come with luggage.
