Good size box, but the lock and key is barely better than that on an old restroom towel dispenser. Lid fits OK, but does not inspire confidence. Sentry makes a smaller one that is a step up in quality compared to this. This is adequate for my purposes, but barely.

Not recommended.

I would never buy it again. it's lock is a joke. I'm not sure what's the purpose of it. A child can open it with some scissors! If you want a secure box, don't buy this one.

I just received this cash box today. I was a little hesitant to buy because some of the reviews were bad, however this was the only cash box that I could buy with prime membership for two day shipping that fit my budget. The keys I got with the box are very chintzy and they really don't work. They don't fit well in the key hole so I will never be able to lock this box. Thankfully there is a latch that I can use to open and close it. I am not going to return the box it will serve my purpose, I'm using to keep my money that I get selling Avon separate from my personal money and also to look somewhat professional when I host my first avon party in a few weeks. Mostly I will only keep change and not many bills, and if I keep bills in it, it will not be for too long so the box is useful to fit my needs. However if you would like to buy a box that actually locks don't buy this one.

I used to borrow a friends cash box when I'd have a yard sale, and every time I would shut it and try to carry it by the outside handle, it would come open and money fall out. I bought this box to start my kids wkly allowance/points program. Its the best. The lid stays shut when I carry it. Its well built. Not flimpsy metal. So happy! There is only one section for bills. Thats the only point to notice.

Was hesitant at buying at first because of all the bad reviews against the keys and lock in the box. But am glad I did. The keys and lock I have no trouble with. Great box for what it's worth. It keeps things safe and secure. I wasn't looking for anything fancy so this was perfect! 5 stars!

I bought the Master Lock 7113D Cash Box to store my Glock 22 magazines. The cash box serves its purpose, it helps to kept its contents protected from sticky little hands. The only problem I found is that it's very difficult to open the box with the keys.

Overall, this is a well design box at an extremely low price.

Product is as described. The lock is a little difficult to open with the key. Construction of unit I would rate as fair.

I purchased two of these. With one of them, the lock never worked. With the other, the lock would not unlock and I had important information that I had to get to. I called the company, Master Lock, and they had no suggestions for getting the items except with the key (duh!) or getting a lock smith (they are about $50/hour for a $12 item). I am returning both items since they are both defective. Not a good average.

If you need a convenient place to keep your valuables, then it's great. The outer shell is durable, but the lock might not be as strong. I'm only saying that because the keys look like stronger and slightly larger versions of those tiny keys that come with children's diaries. The lock is also difficult to use, you have to jiggle the key inside it while turning it to feel it catch on the locking mechanism.

If you are looking for a box that is strong, and very secure do not get this one. The metal is strong enough and it serves its purpose for what i purchased it for, however the lock is easily opened, IE I opened it with a thumbtack in just a few seconds. Great for kids who like to think they have privacy, or if you just want to store away rainy day money in a simple box.
