I'm giving this three stars only because, after all, it's just a key.

The purpose of this review is to WARN you that if you are buying this key for a 176 model lock, or other lock that the K7-series key fits, you need to make sure you get the RIGHT key.

You see, this K7-P380 is only one key of the K7 series. There are others, and the one YOU need is the one that matches your lock. Just like your front door key, the lock is pinned for a specific key, and you better be sure you buy the right key, or you're not opening the lock.

I bought two of these keys because they were recommended to match the 176 model locks I bought at the same time. But when I got the locks, the keys didn't work. A quick check of the lock's packaging showed that the correct key is K7-P136, but I would have had no way of knowing this in advance, because you don't know which locks are going to be shipped to you.

So, if you are buying this key together with locks, I recommend you skip the keys for now on your order, and just order the locks. When the locks arrive, examine the package to see which key is the correct one for the locks you now have, and *then* order the keys, to match.
