This is a great bilt lock but it will not fit on trailers that have a rolled up metal lip on the receiver, such as Well Cargo

i own 2 trailers. first i bought one of these lock and find them to be ok. I feel that a couple of big hammer hit can remove them from the hitch, but will need work. So for the price i tought it's was ok.

Then, i bought a second one, at another store, on the other end of the city. i put it on my other trailer, put the key with the key of the others lock and leave this there for a week.

After a week i did obviouly forget to identify my key. SO i had to try it. ok key 1 in lock 1, woking cool. key 2 in lock 2, working... good i tought i was lucky. then i try key 2 in lock 1 working ? then key 1 with lock 2.... working ?!?

2 key with different tooth pattern work in booth my locks. what kind of lock is that. I finally endend removing these and i did put 2 DT security lock that do a much better job.

Bottom line. Buy something else. Anyone with a lock like this one can use hes key to open your lock.

The lock started to rust after only a couple of days outside. Overall the lock does not fit very well, it doesn't fall off, but for a 2" coupler it could fit better than it does. I honestly expected a better product than what I got.

Had the lock for two years. Then one night they stuck a screw driver in the key area and banked it out with a hammer and stole my whole trailer. Only thing left was the key area they left behind.

Have it for about 8 months now and find it provides some worry free time when I have to be away from the premises. Easy to use and even the chrome gives it a classy appearance. One thing though...just never lose the key or you are going to have a job getting it off.

My horse trailer was stolen while "protected" by a Reese Anti-Theft Hitch Lock, which the thieves easily cut through. (That WAS the name on the packaging, but apparently enough trailers have been stolen that the "lock" has been renamed!)
I was determined to find something more secure, and I was impressed after seeing these Master Locks were being used by Tractor Supply on the utility trailers for sale and parked in the unsecured parking lots in front of every store.
I talked to a representative at Tractor Supply headquarters, who told me these VERY heavy hitch locks were used by them at stores nationwide, and that they performed well. I particularly like the design insures there isn't anything a thief could cut with a bolt cutter, which was where the Reese hitch lock failed the test. That design, and the recommendation from Tractor Supply, were good enough for me! It's now on my new horse trailer.
The price was very reasonable, shipping was fair (especially for such a heavy lock!) and it arrived within a week after ordering online.

This is my second time purchasing this lock. The first one I simply lost when I didn't have it on.

I've been using this lock for over a year now and kept it on my trailer when stored outdoors all winter near Chicago. I have been pleased by its performance and durability. I was actually recommended this type of lock by a professional at a trailer/hitch installation shop.

I also saw a rumor that keys will work for various locks -- I found this un-true in my case as I had tried my other key.

I give this 5 stars for being a durable theft deterant at a reasonable price.

Great product. I feel that using this will stop anybody thinking of borrowing my equipment without my knowledge

This product is a great way to economically protect your trailer - easy to use and tamper proof.

Bought this to secure a trailer that I have. This is the best tongue lock I have ever used. It is made from high quality metal and operates smoothly and easily. Have used it for a year now and the lock has not rusted at all. This is a great product at a good price.
