The price was great. The idea from the description was that it was a standard massage table. When I received it, the table was only 24" wide. From a professional standpoint I need a table to be at least 27" wide. The table looks good but it was definitely too narrow. I sent it back. 5.0 out of 5 stars An economical, portable table--Great for home users!, December 28, 2005
Most of the negative reviews this table has gotten have been based on slow shipping times, so I was a little worried that it would take awhile for the table to arrive, but I ordered my table late on a Sunday evening and it arrived by Wednesday afternoon (just 3 days shipping time!)

Apparently, I'm the first reviewer to have actually used the table, so I'm glad to be able to give a favorable review.

I did extensive research before making this purchase because I needed to find a quality table in my price range, and I'm very pleased. Because I'm only 5'2", I thought that it might be difficult for me to set up or to move around; I was concerned about it being too heavy or awkward. But I had the table set up in just a couple of minutes and I was able to use it right away. The stability is great and it was also easy to fold up and store, so it's definitely more "portable" than I expected.

My only complaint is that the table is only 24" wide. When I made my purchase, I assumed that the table was the standard 27"; if the dimensions had been listed in the product features, that definitely would have been a big factor in my decision.

Again, most wider tables will cost a lot more money, but if price is not a concern for you, I would recommend spending the extra money for a wider table and/or one with an adjustable face cradle.

I do wish it were a bit wider, but all things considered, even though it may appear to have limited features, don't let that be misleading...this table is comfortable and a practical buy.

If you're looking for a quality table for home use, or even if you're a massage student on a budget, this table would be an excellent choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars This is about the actual TABLE!! =), January 26, 2006
First of all, I read the reviews and MOST had nothing to do with the actual table which helped not even a little. So I would like to let you know parts about the table that you may not find anywhere on this page.

The table is a little narrower than others and has a lot more pegs for adjustments (which I find nice). It's VERY light at about 27lbs. I am a small woman about 5'3" and about 120lbs. So, for me to carry less than 40 or even 30lbs is fantastic.

The picture shows diagonal bars coming down from the center of the table connecting to the legs. I thought those were permanently connected to the table. However, when you are putting it together and taking it apart they need to individually detached from the legs and placed on little strips of Velcro located under the table. This does take a little extra time then say one of the higher end tables which just fold up real nice in about 5 seconds.

Also, the head rest is NON-adjustable. I didn't even think about that when ordering. For me this isn't too much of a problem thus far and it is my first table so I'm not too worried about that.

The padding is a little thinner than the higher end models but I think it is just fine. I laid on the table myself the whole first night I got it and found it to be quite comfortable. If it is a little thin for the clients you are working with then invest in a nice pad for it.

Lastly, a very minuet point, the color is different than pictured. I thought the pictured color was very pretty. When it showed up it was a dark blue not the light blue shown. Not a problem in the least but just thought I should mention it.

All in all, when I received the table, I had higher expectations mostly due to the beautiful picture shown. However, I am very glad I got it because it was very affordable and for someone who is in a financial bind (like a student/beginner) and or someone looking for a lightweight table this is a good choice.

I was confused as to rate it 3 or 4 stars. It is a low end table. However, I took the time to bond with the table and I am really truly in love with it. So I felt it should be a 4 star rating. Plus, if I do end up not liking it in the long-term I only need it for about 2-3 years. So, consider the time frame you are looking at when purchasing a table. If it's a very long term purchase than save your money and get a really nice higher end model.

I hope this helped some of you!

BTW- As far as shipping is concerned, I have never had a problem with Amazon's shipping times. This is no exception. I ordered it the 18th and received it the 25th. I couldn't be happier!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Table!, February 15, 2008

I am really impressed with this table, and so was a professional masseuse! We took the table to a massage class and the instructor was amazed at the quality for the price. Note: you'll have to buy a bag if you transport your table much. Consider this in your comparisons. We don't expect the table to leave the house again so don't need a table. The professional tables looked and felt the same except the wooden braces on this table are replaced with hinged pieces on more expensive tables.
Definately get a 28 inch wide table over the 25 in wide table as it much easier to turn over when you have sheets draped.
Make sure to get an arm rest and an oil warmer too!
Have fun and relax!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply understated..., February 16, 2006
By
I don't know how many people had the lousy luck and got delayed in receiving their orders but let me tell you mine: I ordered it the day before New Year '06 and it arrived 5 days later, 5 days ahead of their promised delivery date. So, don't let those frothing rampant over delivery delays deter you away from considering this table. Sure, it could be wider by a few more inches but it's well-cushioned, easy to adjust, sturdy (I do Ashiatsu ... I know!) and at this price it's practically a steal! I've noticed the item goes for as low as $125 along with free shipping thrown in for a no-brainer measure.

Reading some of the reviews, I'm kinda flummoxed by the grossly offensive critics. How can anyone get so outraged over a massage table they haven't even tried out yet? Share an opinion, write your experience in regards to the item, that's putting down a review. Vexing over shipping mishaps or delays (c'mon, it happens all the time) and trashing the product in such manner is misleading, especially for those who are looking into buying for the first time.

Unfortunate as it may, things do get lost in the mail. Even large ones. I have things I ordered which never arrived, but Amazon has always been prompt on dealing with customer issues. Get in touch with them, be proactive on your purchases instead of just waiting and be seething and then venting off by writing outrageously those "reviews" without a bite at all to what's related. And y'know what? Amazon people will do and fix what they can. They're actually quite excellent that way. Berating a shipping process instead of this product which, again, is great is rather unnecessary.

Too bad for those who received their order very late but do I hear a peep from them complaing about this massage table as a function? No... So, don't whine so much because you'll like this massage table. And I thought being in the massage business is about being patient and comforting, but I digress. (and get off my soap-box)

I can't recommend a better beginner's table or even for a well-seasoned pro-therapist on the go; it's worth it. A 2-hour session pays for itself already. Save the dilemma of deciding which economical yet superb table to purchase, this one does the job well. Like I mentioned, I just wish that it's a few inches wider. Now finding a wider table that won't take a chunk out of my wallet is gonna be the real search. Anyone with any recommendations will be appreciated.

4.0 out of 5 stars Supports struts not hinged, May 4, 2008
This review is from: Master Massage Skyline Regulation Size Portable Massage Table, 28 Inch (Health and Beauty)
If you are familiar with massage tables it will be helpful for you to know that the struts on this table are not hinged, folding up automatically when the table is taken down. They are the kind that are secured under the table with velcro during storage and require securement with an "eye" pin into the leg for safe set-up. Other than that unexpected feature (not mentioned in the description), I am pleased with the table.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very cheap...in the bad sense, March 24, 2006
Shipping was fine. However, this product looks like a child's table. Additionally, it is very flimsy. In fact, the leg supports almost broke when they were just inserted into the legs. It almost felt like it was made of balsa wood it was so weak.

The table is so narrow that unless your client is very skinny they will not be very comfortable.

Only good if you are a student in need of a practice table.

1.0 out of 5 stars BEWARE this table is only 24 inches wide !! NOT 27 " WIDE, April 6, 2006
By
I can not recommend this table. Save your money for a wider, sturdier model. I purchased this table based on the customer reviews and the product description. It is only 24" wide, not 27" as stated in the description. It is too narrow for a wide range of clients and seemed flimsy, so I sent it back.

Amazon.com did reimburse me for the purchase price, but not for the $29 FedEx shipping costs (since they apparently don't feel at fault for incorrectly describing the size of the product).
Also, be aware that you can't find a phone number for customer service to save your life. So I e-mailed their customer service a few questions to see if I received the correct table. When the person wrote me back, he neglected to answer any of my questions. He just wanted to know if I wanted to send the item back. Despite also telling the customer service rep the correct size of the table, there has been no change in their product description. Even the box it came in says the table is 24" wide.

Despite years of problem free purchases of Amazon.com books and cd's, I doubt I'll shop with any online service that won't offer a phone number for their customers and won't correct their product description.
